When anyone at hogwards says thank merlin for Minnie McGonagall they mean it
Marlene had completely broken down in McGonagall's arms
Minerva cradled the girl stroking her hair as she cried
The group of teenagers behind her were in full blown panic , Lily and Remus were anxiously watching the scene, Peter ,Mary and Dorcas ran towards them from their place by the fire
James looked he was close to tears watching his sister cry , Sirius found himself unable to move as utter shock took him over
"Minnie??" James asked in a hushed voice as he approached her and a crying Marlene
"What's wrong?? Please tell us" James asked crouching next to Minerva
Minerva couldn't help but sollow the lump in her throat these were her children and she knew that they always protected each other
She tightened her grip on Marlene as if asking for permission from the girl , Marlene weakly nodded in return
"M-marcus has joint Voldemort" Minerva said barely above a whisper
A silence fell upon the room , Sirius approached Minerva and placed her hand on her shoulder
"You should have something to eat Minnie" he whispered to her as he sat beside her
"Go I got her" Sirius said in reassurance when Minerva hesitated
Marlene pulled away from Minerva and wiped under her eyes and nodded her head
"You should eat and get some rest Minnie.....we'll be with her '' James said looking at the lady , Minerva stiffly nodded and got to her feet walking toward the exit
"Minnie" Marlene whispered causing her to whip around toward the girl
"Thank you" Marlene said , McGonagall gave her a smile before disappearing through the portrait door
Marlene pulled her legs to her chest and leaned against the back of the sofa and was caught off guard when the rest of the group sat on the floor too
"You okay??" James whispered as he placed a hand on her knee
"Yeah" she mumbled nodding her head
"What were guys doing??" She asked
Everyone broke off to their normal conversations Marlene felt happy about that she needed them to be normal , she needed normal now
Sirius moved closer to Marlene and wrapped his arm around her shoulder pulling her into his chest
"It's okay" he mumbled as he stroked her hair
The rest off the evening the group were determined to make Marlene laugh which they succeeded in doing
"Curfew" Lily mumbled, Marlene looked around to see that everyone were trying very hard to fight their sleep
