Marlene had heard Mason but she was incapable of moving the words echoed through her head
Sirius forced distance between the two of them softly letting go of her hand before turning to face Mason
"I knew it!!" Were the words that left Mason's mouth
"Wha-
Sirius was cut off by Mason's fist making contact with his jaw
Sirius staggered back before looking at Mason holding his jaw
"What the fuck mate!!?"
"I knew this was what you were up to!! I knew it right from the beginning! First you become cozy and then what??! Sleep with her and then on the next?? I know you Black and I know the type of person you are"
"And you! You see what he's done??! He had you skipping class and now sneaking out?!"
Sirius gave him a questioning look while Marlene pushed herself between the two of them
"Mason!! Sirius has nothing to do with me sneaking out!! And I was not the only one who skipped class and it was most certainly not with Sirius!!" Marlene said with a huff
"Oh yeah?? And let me guess you also didn't throw away your virginity with him?"
Marlene's face dropped as she stared at him in disbelief
"Girls talk and when they do Myrtle hears" Mason said and turned to look at Sirius who held his jaw while looking at Marlene
"Well it's none of your business!"
"I think it is when he's gonna screw you over for the next person that looks his way!!"
Sirius had finally understood why Mason was angry.....Marlene was caught in the crossfire for Mason's anger towards him
"Mason mat-
"Shut it Black!"
"Mas-
"MARLENE GO HOME" Mason said still glaring at Sirius
"I most certainly will not!" Marlene yelled
"Excuse me??!"
"Sirius has nothing to do with anything that I do! Everything I choose to do is my decision and mine alone!!"
"I never said that it wasn't!! But now you nee-
A spell shot their way from nowhere, Mason grabbed his wand and held it out while ushering Marlene and Sirius behind him
"Run!" He yelled as the trio turned around
Spells shot at them from the shadows
"Get down!!" Melissa and Fleamont yelled as Euphemia grabbed Sirius and Marlene
"Mia-
"Get in the house and lock the doors!! We'll discuss this later!!" Euphemia yelled pushing the pair into the foyer of McKinnon manor
"Marlene!! Sirius!!" James yelled embracing the two
"How many do you reckon?? Are out there??"
"Not many I'd say two maybe three" Sirius said as he took his place beside James by the door
An unmistakable flash off light went of in the distance followed by a crackle Sirius knew to well
That was the last thing before Potter manor fell into pitch black darkness
