I stood in complete shock as she smiled brightly at me. I immediately ran to her and cried as I hugged her tightly.
"That's your sister?" Zane asked
"Yes, I know we don't look similar." I said
"I hate to ask but do yall have different fathers?" He asked
"NO!" Me and Sakura said simultaneously
"Okay okay geez, I'm sorry" Zane replied
"You do realize that he looks exactly like his dad right? Versus his sister who appears to be closer appearing to their mother" Zeus said out of nowhere
"Don't remind me about my mom. Please." I said
Sakura rubbed my back and glared at Zeus. He immediately remembered why I don't mention my mother anymore.
"I'm lost." Zane stated
"Our mom died years ago." Sakura said
"My dad left her and eventually she died of a broken heart because she saw him with another woman." I explained
Zeus looked like he saw a ghost and Zane began to shake his head. They both came over to hug me and Sakura.
"I'm sorry you guys went through that.." Zeus said
"What's worse is not being able to get to see your mother's funeral." Sakura commented
Zeus and Zane immediately tilted their heads in disbelief and then they both hugged her.
"You would have loved to see her grave... I made sure dad got what she wanted. Since he practically killed her." I told Sakura
"Yeah I would hope so." I replied
Suddenly Atlas walked out of his room to see what was going on. Sakura immediately turned her attention to him.
"So who's this cutie?" Sakura asked looking at me
"He's a friend of mine" I said
"Yeah right you used to hate him and suddenly you don't" Zane said cutting his eyes at me
"We talked it out. So what?" I challenged
"So what is the fact y'all were all touchy on each other a few weeks ago" Zeus chimed in
"You don't know anything about what happened so shut your damn mouth" I snapped
Sakura and Zane looked down immediately. Kali looked guilty for a moment before she reigned in her facial expression. Atlas turned around and went back into his room, seemingly unaware of the Wyvern peeking through the roof.
"Well um anyway... I should go back to where I was staying, it was really nice seeing you again Aeron. You've grown up to be a wonderful man." Sakura said softly
"Thanks. That means a lot." I replied as I hugged her
Sakura motioned to Amethyst that it was time to go. Amethyst gave us all one last huff before she left with Sakura. Zeus walked up to me and tried to talk to me quietly.
"Can we talk in another room?" He whispered
I rolled my eyes at him and agreed. I told everyone to go back to whatever they were doing. When we got into my room, Zeus immediately began interrogating me. I immediately began to become furious with him.
"What's your problem with admitting your love for Atlas? Seriously is it that hard?" Zeus asked
"Hazeus Delgado. I swear if you start this with me. It's not gonna end well" I said as I began pacing around my room
"Dude you literally can't stand to talk about it in front of them. Even when your ex isn't around anymore. Like what's the problem?" He continued
"Zeus I'm being so serious. Please shut the fuck up before you get an earful" I snapped
"Bastardo obstinado. Just answer the question. Damn" He retorted
"HAZEUS ANTHONY DELGADO. I'm gonna call you a bastard in a minute if you don't close your damn mouth and open your fucking ears. You don't understand my feelings towards Atlas and you won't understand them because this doesn't display any trust whatsoever between me and you. You forcing me to speak is how your ass gets kicked but of course you don't learn. You only listen to Azhia cause she's more intimidating than me." I rattled off
Zeus stopped for a moment before he got up and walked out of the room. He mumbled something under his breath before he left.
"Tu verga" He mumbled
I caught wind of what he said and cursed him out back in a different language.
"Ja, geh weiter, du Mistkerl. Geh verdammt noch mal weiter!" I shouted back
Kali immediately turned her head at the commotion. She began to give a look to Zeus as if she knew what just happened. Zeus ignored her and slammed his door on his way back into his room. Minutes later, Kali came almost tiptoeing to my room, she had brought an iced honey bun with her as an offering.
"Hey buddy.. wanna tell me what happened..?" She asked almost hesitantly
"No.." I replied
"Aeron please I just wanna-" Kali said
"Just leave me alone." I said as I snatched the honey bun from her
She put her hands up and backed away out of the room. No one bothered me for the rest of the day except for Atlas. He came in towards the end of the day to talk to me. However I was still upset.
"Aeron?" He asked
"What do you want" I said rhetorically while facing the wall
"You wanna talk about what happened" He asked as he sat down next to me
"Why does it matter" I replied
"Because you gotta talk about these things, you're only hurting yourself" He explained
"Just go away" I mumbled
"No." He said
"I said go." I repeated
"And I said no. I am not afraid of you" He replied
"WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE SO MUCH IN THE FIRST PLACE" I yelled
"Because I-" He began
"BECAUSE NOTHING. WE AREN'T TOGETHER SO WHY DO I MATTER SO MUCH TO YOU" I said cutting him off
"Because I love you." He said after a small moment of silence
I was curled up in a ball on my bed when he said it, his words hit me like a brick. I was afraid now.
"You what..." I replied
"Yes I know.." He said
"I need a moment. Go to bed or something." I explained
"But it's a little early for that" He replied
"Good, you'll have energy for tomorrow. We gotta return that baby." I said
"If you say so.." Atlas said as he walked out of the room
He left and I immediately laid down. I was just staring at the decrepit wall and counting the grain in the wood. I laid there for about 3 hours before passing out. When the next day rolled around, I woke up to Kali checking on me. She had the door closed so the rest of the group didn't know what was happening.
"Aeron what happened" Kali asked
"What.." I replied sluggishly
"You tore your shirt. And the scars on your back are inflamed." She said
"So.. I probably had a nightmare or something"
"Wait are you bleeding?" Kali said with an immediate unease in her voice
I didn't say anything, all I could hear was her screaming for the group. I could tell she was terrified. But I was so close to actually passing out that I couldn't respond or move.
