EXTF Co-Director Phantom listens in on the conversation, immediately focusing more of his attention as soon as he heard 'CROS'. After listening for a few minutes, he activates a command on a New World Union surveillance and listening device placed in the corner of the Lecelnan Premier's bunker, and at the signal, the rebels kick down the door and rush in. Anders issues his command to 'loot and burn', and to extract the Premier. The Premier is then shot unconscious and brought out of the room.

Phantom uses microscopic drones to highlight a decent path of least resistance, which the rebels use to exit the compound. It leads down several streets and into an alley, where a CTA-1M3 is waiting. The Special Forces units enter the CTA-1M3, and the van flies up and breaks orbit, docking with a New World Union Kaiju-class Carrier escorted by other spaceships high in space.  The operators pile out of the docking module and enter a portal room, which leads to Base-001.

The Premier is taken by infantrybots to the base's holding sector, all while unconscious. The infantrybots first enter the sector's door-portal, then entering an elevator and arriving at a high-security location, 25mm turrets placed every few feet, among other defensive systems. Stringsold is placed in a cell, and soon wakes up, all alone in his cell.

Phantom, still in Omega Citadel, analyzes the audio compiled by the listening device. Muttering incomprehensibly to himself under his breath, he now confirms that the CROS, brought up by the Head Researcher, is the main cause of the Lecelnan attacks. This meant that the CROS had already learned of the New World Union's existence, meaning that Operation Payday--the attack on the CROS airport complex--would have to begin soon in earnest.

He quickly manifested the words in a file, forwarding it to every important official in the New World Union for this operation. It was forwarded first to the Emperor and the royal family, then the Head of the DoD, and the other high-ranking officials soon after. Message received checkmarks confirm that the message was indeed received and read, and the Co-Director shifts to other management activities on his multi-monitor PC setup, though keeping one monitor covering live war footage.

Varkano, Lecelnan Union, Thuia

Alpha Force, an armed force composed of the 123rd-HB and the 21st HB, is pulling up on the Lecelnan city of Varkano -- the white dot closest to yet north of the O in Lecelnan Union --, the 21st Armored and 123rd Infantry leading their HB-Divisions into battle. The 21st's P55 Plasmyrs and Challenger MBTs immediately start carving holes through the Lecelnan defensive lines, rushing through and then pushing outwards like shrapnel from explosions.

Task Force Xeno assists the 21st Armored, frequently calling in artillery and air strikes. Staff Sergeant Perseus in particular, located the main plaza, which is guarded by a large force of Lecelnans. This causes him to instinctively drop for cover, and he transmits on the radio. "Requesting Challenger SPG support on grid square Iota-27. Request target package PL-Beta - mode Chi. Over."

"Acknowledged, Perseus. Fire mission -- target package PL-Beta mode Chi [full auto] -- danger close." The response comes, and 275mm SPG Photonlaser strikes descend upon the Lecelnan defenders. The power of the strikes, equivalent to HIGHLY concentrated 550mT MIRVs in energy, leave the plaza ruined and smoking, the defenders now barely ten in number.
