"A Prayer"

The diplomat who will be in charge of meeting with her counterpart from the New World Union, Alayna Centrich, is waiting in her quarters, knelt in front of an altar-like structure. It has a figurine of a six-armed figure with its arms stretched up into the air, its hands nearing the room's air vent. Alayna knelt in front of it with both knees, seemingly muttering a prayer.

"O great lords of the CROSS, please, guide me. Let your light bring me to the path you've ordained for me and allow for fruitful negotiations with the so-called New World Union..." She began trailing off, the prayer she had prayed thousands of times before seeming like it repeated itself, and she finished praying soon after.

What she did not expect however, was a DIRECT response. She felt the voices speaking to her, just like with that doomed Admiral and his fleet not long ago. "Alayna, the New World Union is your foe. You must kill their diplomat during your talks." She was understandably confused and a little angered by this. "What did they do? Why should I-" "You dare question the TRUE gods?"

This shut her up pretty well, but she still found it in her to resist, since even the most faithful knew that this kind of request from their 'gods' was pure bullshit. She took a deep breath. "My lords, forgive me... but YES." She immediately felt a kind of seizure proceeding up her body, presumably caused by the so-called 'Lords of the CROSS'. It now seemed that, after almost an hour of Alayna's struggling, they had almost completely possessed her body, with twitching and general tweaking visible.

"A Cry For War"

Rioters

Government Plaza

Astera, Teraton, New World Union

Large groups of rioters, not all humanoid, are beginning to gather at the massive central courtyard in Gov't Plaza, the concentration of buildings where the government is most present and holds the most influence. They begin raising their PDAs, which then show holographic signs. They contain messages not dissimilar to "WE WANT WAR!" and "JUSTICE FOR FORESTER!"

These rioters are here not to express any disillusionment nor dissatisfaction with the current government, and documents revealed through FOIAs (Freedom of Information Acts) revealed what had happened to Forester in the Lecelnan Union, and saying that the public was PISSED is a severe understatement.

A particular random Asian guy from Helios III, also known as Earth, was in the plaza at the exact same time, buying some hot dogs from an automated vendor stand. He happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, being forced to leave due to the rioters, who then start to fill up the whole plaza and then the entire city sector. MPH-07 multipurpose helicopters begin to descend on the crowds, and the SpecLaw Raid Defense and Riot Control Chief, named Vannessa, alongside other elite SpecLaw operatives, fastrope down to contain the riot.

Laser/sonic vehicles begin to pull up, concentrating their systems though at a low concentration upon the crowd now, dulling down some of the rage present. The Chief herself initiates a megaphone command with her telepathy, transmitting to the crowd now. "Alright everyone, CALM DOWN! TELL US YOUR DEMANDS ALREADY!" The trucks armed with the crowd-dispersing systems raise their system concentration slightly too.
