Part 7: The Lecelnan Incident, 35794

This time, Forester arrived not at a very high floor, but literally at the third floor. He left his security detail in an exterior room, which he was being used to now since Morostia. There was a Lecelnan diplomat already waiting for him, and surprisingly, another female diplomat. She gave a rather disapproving look as he went to sit down. "So you're Robert Forester? The diplomat from the--" She paused to look down. "New World Union?" He nodded. "I'm Alayna Centrich." She maintained her disgusted tone.

He began to realize now that she was trying to subtly incite some anger in him with that look, though he maintained his calm and composed demeanor. "I'm here to simply request that we set up an embassy here." He nodded at her, getting straight to the point. "And why would we want to have an embassy set up in our country owned by a nation we aren't fully sure of even exists?" 

He showed a flag patch and several items he took with him to her. "This should be proof enough, no?" She shook her head, clearly dissatisfied by his legit evidence. "Regardless, if you barely know we exist, then we should pose no threat, hm?" She thought about it for a second. "Why would we even want an embassy from your nation? You're likely some uncontacted tribe existing in the north of that 'Republic of Lesospian', and your leaders waste money on your clothing to give off a false sense of sophistication. WE will be the ones building an embassy in your land, and not you in ours."

Somewhat surprised and a little bit angered by this blatant not-so-diplomatic arrogant behavior, he maintained his still calm demeanor with a slight disapproving look. "Okay, then--that's how it works anyway." She began to raise something from under the table, her arm twitching all the while, seeming like it was resisting grabbing the item. The item she grabbed was a handgun. He had already noticed the handgun placed there using his scanners, so he was ready for it. She now tried firing on Forester, shooting him in the head, though the round had no impact due to self-updating biological upgrades that diplomats were given.

The round harmlessly bounced off his head, and the gunshot had alerted his security detail, who now rushed into the room. Forester whipped out his own self-defense M35711 handgun, firing on the Lecelnans who were now firing on him and his group as well. He managed to successfully shoot Alayna in the same spot that he himself was shot, the power of the .905 AOSP round pretty much annihilating her head and then burning a hole through the back of the wall, letting in some fresh air in the process.

They quickly headed for the elevator, which they rapidly took, though not after one of Forester's security bots had thrown an MPSEMTEX, which resulted in the destruction of the whole room as soon as it detonated. The group found themselves back down, noticing that others were located downstairs also fighting Lecelnan security personnel.

Matthias' infiltrators were now causing chaos in the lobby, shooting up the whole area and being on the receiving end of Lecelnan 50mm grenade launcher blasts, which killed more of his team. Matthias immediately deduced that Forester was the diplomat who had unknowingly been saved from the bomb that would've been placed inside the car he took to arrive at the Foreign Affairs Center.

The infiltrators did not fire on the security detail, and both parties decided it was a 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' scenario, opting to help each other. The New World Union's group cleared out all of the enemies in the lobby rather quickly, soon teleporting away and leaving automated drones behind to aid the infiltrators, though not without scanning them first.

Scans revealed that they were Lecelnan rebels/separatists who grew disillusioned with the existing arrogant autocratic government. The infiltrators, with the help of the MAICDs, escaped the foreign affairs building and separated, running into alleyways assisted by drones. Lecelnan troops stationed at the center were now pursuing the infiltrators, gunning down yet a few more though taking casualties themselves.
