Today I decided to work from home and I set myself up at my dining table and settled in to work.
I got up to get a cup of peppermint tea some hours later and stood looking out the window as the kettle boiled. Then I realised. The weather was nice. And it was light outside.

I looked to the boys and looked back to the window.
I turned the kettle off.

I went back to my laptop and closed the lid and called to the boys and got kitted out for a walk. As I shrugged my coat on and turned to the door I looked at the key rack and grabbed them, deciding to take the boys in the car, rather than just around the town.

It was busier than I had expected at the beach, being so early in January and still quite cold, but it was quiet enough that the boys could have a run and a sniff off the lead. They were also able to socialise with a few other dogs we met along the way, which I always love.

When I got back home I felt so fresh and energised I got the boys a treat each and they trotted off to the living room. I then got myself settled back in and had a really productive afternoon.

Little self care break in the middle of the day was just what was needed.
