Chapter 6: Team7's first real mission

We have been doing missions, but they weren't any type of real mission. Here we go again with another boring 'hunting for a missing cat' mission

Naruto has caught the cat and was struggling because the cat was trying to fight back "lost pet Tora has been captured" Kakashi sensei said through the earpiece "can't we get a better mission than this! I hate cats!" Naruto shouted through the earpiece which made me feel bad for Kakashi sensei's ears.

The owner of the cat received her cat and hugged it "oh my poor little Tora, mommy was so worried about her naughty little fuzzy kitten" the cat kept meowing. Naruto laughed "that cat deserved to be squashed"

I hit Naruto "Leave the poor cat alone. now I know why the cat ran away" Naruto scratched his head "that hurt" I pout "cats have feeling too you know" I muttered and Sasuke looked at me which made me tilt my head, he then looked away.

I loved cats, I always used to pet a cat when I was with Itachi, he also used to pet cats and that's when I found out that Itachi was obsessed with cats. "yeah, poor cat" Sakura said

We are at the Hokage's office for who knows how much we have been here. "now then, for team 7's next mission we have several different tasks. Among them there's babysitting the chief councilor's 3-year-old, helping his wife to do the shopping, digging up potatoes" Naruto interrupted "No! I wanna go on a real mission, something challenging and exciting not this little kids stuff, come on man!" I sigh 'he's not wrong tho, it's getting quite boring'

"how dare you?! You're just a brand new Genin with no experience like everyone else you start with simple missions to develop your skills and to improve yourself!" Iruka sensei yelled at Naruto "are you serious?! Babysitting is not a mission it's just a stupid-" Kakashi sensei hit Naruto in the head "will you put a lid on it" Kakashi sensei said.

"Naruto, it seems you do not understand the tasks you have been given. Listen, many different kinds of requests come to our village every day, from babysitting to assassinations. These quests are carefully recorded, analyzed, then ranked, A, B, C, or D, depending on their difficulty. We ninja also write by ability, Hokage at the top, Jounin, Chuunin, and Genin. At the highest level we select the missions and assign them to ninja who have the appropriate skill and experience, and if the mission is successful we receive a fee that supports our village and our work. Since you are untried Genin just starting the shinobi path, you are given D level assignments of course" he said then noticed the whole team wasn't paying attention

"so I had that tonkotsu ramen yesterday and I'm thinking mesa ramen today-" The third hokage interrupted "Silence!" we all looked at him and after a while Naruto turned around "sorry" Kakashi sensei said "you always lecture me like you're my grandfather or something, but I'm not the little boy who used to pull pranks all the time. I'm a ninja now and I want a ninja mission" Naruto looked away and pouted.

The hokage and Iruka sensei laughed "Naruto wants us to know that he is not a brat but a formal brat and he wants a mission, so be it" the hokage said which made us surprised "since you are so determined I'm going to give you a c-ranked mission, you'll be bodyguards on a journey" Naruto turned around "really? Yes! Who, who, are we guarding a princess or some business councilor?" Naruto asked "don't be so impatient, I will bring him in now" the hokage said

"send in our visitor" we all looked behind us, we looked at the door. The door opened to a drinking old man "what the. A bunch of little snout nose kids" he said then started to drink from his beer "and you little one, with the idiotic look on his face, you really expect me to believe you're a ninja" Naruto laughed "who's the little one with the idiotic look on his face-" Naruto realized he was talking about him because of the height difference.
