Part 6: Extrauniversal Diplomacy

They shortly landed at the New World Union's base in Condetena, the two diplomatic groups meeting after exiting their aircraft. Vallerie was in awe at almost everything, from the scale of the base, to the attachments each soldier had on their guns, a kind of spaced-out aweness falling on her. Forester then spoke to Vallerie, shaking her out of her awed shock.

"I'm not very qualified to explain what's going on here, so there should be a guide approaching you soon. We'll still follow to maintain security, however." Vallerie nodded, and an infantrybot shortly later came up to them, then speaking to Vallerie. "Hello ma'am, please, follow me through the portal." Vallerie, Forester, and their security detail followed the bot through the portal, finding themselves at (Military) Base 001.

Appearing like a city more than a military base, it was full of towering buildings launching aircraft, ramps emerging from the ground where armored vehicles passed, and other underground buildings housing infantrybots like apartment buildings, but also housing garages for mortar vehicles along with ISUGVs and MMPFPs. Firing ranges were also visible, where infantry tested various firing stances with their weaponry.

The bot gave Vallerie and her group a tour around the base, showing the New World Union's military potential. They were first brought to one of the aforementioned firing ranges, where many infantry units, not all humanoid, practiced firing their weapons. Some of the infantry with six arms held a PLLMG in each hand, spitting out six photonlasers at their targets.

Many in the Morostian group were awed at the pure laser spam annihilating targets, as the bot stopped them. It then turned to them. "These are our infantry units. They are either robotic or composed of various sentient species, along with the occasional appearance of a pet-style creature, which we call a K9." Muttering was heard among the Morostian group, with some realizing the utilization of dogs in military and police settings could be very useful.

The bot continued speaking. "A fireteam, our smallest infantry unit, is composed of 24 operators; 8 rifle grenadiers, 4 snipers/designated marksmen, 1 officer who can use any of the available squad weapons, 2 rocketeers, 3 machine gunners, 3 submachine gunners/shotgunners for close quarters, 2 dedicated grenadiers, and 1 comms operator accompanied by a group of four mortar systems and two MMPFP systems, which are in essence tanks with fully automatic guns, as well as soon-to-be standard changes are the introduction of ISUGVs into mass service."

An MMPFP-4202 in the background lit up its target with a devastating laser, causing the whole area around the target and the target itself to be horrendously burnt or destroyed, the target's protective coating here not effective enough against the sheer stupidity of the MMPFP's fully automatic gun.

ISUGVs now visibly trained with holographic enemies and allies, utilizing a combined suppression tactic in which the ISUGVs suppressed the enemy with heavy grenade launcher fire and photonlaser/beam fire along with the machine gunners, mortars, and MMPFPs, the rest of the squad, submachine gunners first rushing the enemy with shields up, clearing them out.

The infantrybot then lead them to a bombing and missile range, where streaks of light were visible racing at incredible speeds for even light from what seemed to be empty sky and annihilating targets, as well as black shapes similarly appearing from what appeared to be empty sky then starting to fall on more targets.

"Welcome to the aircraft range. I personally would recommend partially covering your eyes for this part." the bot told them. Some of them did, including Vallerie, who then saw a massive explosion envelop a good chunk of the range. Those like Vallerie who did partially close their eyes still got the full picture, but those who didn't felt as if a flashbang grenade was detonated near them.

Black shapes like wide arrows buzzed the base, now known as the B-89, B-21, and B-47 aircraft belonging to the New World Union, who then doubled back and covered the range in more explosions. Massive craters formed in the dirt and grass from the power of the bombs, though eventually, nanodrones would start forming up in groups, filling in the craters.
