God winter break couldn't come any slower. This was the final week before break meaning midterms were happening and bullshit I didn't care about that cater towards school.
It was lunchtime, normally I'd be excited except since tests are happening our school day is fucked up, meaning our lunch is fucked up. Kika and everyone else had a different lunch than me and the library was closed so I had no choice but to skip in the bathroom.
Sighing to myself I pushed the bathroom door open. When I walked in I heard soft crying, it was Rue. She was hunched over in the corner of the bathroom hiding her face. "Rue Rue?" I said softly kneeling down at her level
She looked up at me slowly whilst sniffing, "oh hey" Rue said softly. The girl in front of me sighed as she wiped the tears from her face with the sleeve of her jacket. "are you okay?" I asked now sitting down on the floor with her
"No" Rue shook her head letting more tears fall down her face. I didn't like seeing her like this, I hate when people I care about cry.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I asked rubbing her arm. Rue shook her head and I nodded understandingly. I did the best thing I could in that situation and texted Fez to see if we could come over. Within a few seconds, he replied confirming we could.
"Come on," I said getting up as I grabbed Rue's arms to help her up. In the process, a few pills fell out of her jacket. I didn't ask and pretended I didn't notice as she picked them up stuffing them in her jeans pocket. "Where are we going?" Rue asked in a raspy tone
"Fez's come on" I motioned for her to follow me while grabbing her hand. She said nothing and just followed me out of the bathroom. Thankfully I had my backpack and keys so there was no lying to get back in class and grab my stuff.
Rue and I walked one of the side doors at school hand in hand until we reached the parking lot. "Thank you" Rue mumbled whilst walking to my car
"For what?" I asked looking confused
"I don't know..just- thank you," She said
We arrived at my car and got in after I unlocked it. I got in on the driver's side and Rue got in on the passenger. "You wanna play our song?" I ask smirking at her in hopes of cheering my friend up
Rue looked at me cracking a smile, "fuck it, why not" she laughed a little. That's all I needed as I played Hit em up by Tupac whilst I backed out of the parking space.
"THATS WHY I FUCKED YO BITCH YOU FAT MOTHAFUCKA" Rue yelled instantly getting out of her sad episode
"WEST SIDEEE" I yelled after her
I pulled out my pen and hit it a few times before handing it to Rue. I knew she probably needed it. "FIRST OF ALL FUCK YOUR BITCH AND THE CLIQUE YOU CAME, WESTSIDE WHEN WE RIDE COME EQUIPPED WITH GAME," Rue said whilst hitting my pen a few times. She seemed to look more relaxed and had forgotten about whatever was upsetting her in the first place
"YOU CLAIM TO BE A PLAYA BUT I FUCKED YOUR WIFE, WE BUST ON BAD BOYS NIGGA FUCKED FOR LIFE" I laughed before preparing for the next part. We sang the rest of the song all the way to Fez's house. The song was as long as it took to get to his house from the school, which was pretty convenient.
"TAKE MONEEYYY" Rue sang as she got out of the car whilst dancing. I locked my car after getting out and laughed at her, "Come on bitch"
"That song is gonna be stuck in my head all day now" She sighed as walked up to the door and knocked on it.
"Let me in pleaaseee" I said getting close to the peephole. Fez opened the door a few minutes later laughing, "yo why were you so close to the peephole" he asked
"It felt right" I shrugged walking in the house with Rue behind me. "Is there any reason y'all wanted to come over here?" Fez asked lighting up a blunt
"I was sad so Yami proposed coming over here," Rue said plopping down on the couch. I took off my shoes and put them near the door before sitting next to Rue on the couch.
"Man, what got you sad?" Fez asked as he went to the kitchen. "Just some stupid shit, doesn't matter anymore" Rue shrugged it off
"Fez you need a pet," I said as I stretched my legs out on the couch. Rue smirked at me and grabbed one of my toes knowing I hate people touching my feet. "STAWP" I yelled kicking her lightly
Fez came back and sat down on one of the chairs, "well since you two are here, we gotta talk about Silas"
Hearing his name gave me anxiety and I felt like I was going to be sick. "What about him?" I asked
"Silas became a suspect in Nate's disappearance," He said looking at us. Rue and I looked at each other confused, "how? Nate went missing after Silas got locked up" I asked
"That doesn't even make sense. When did you find out?" Rue added
"They think he's working with someone outside and knows information, especially since they found out that they fought at the fair" Fez informed us while taking a drink of his water, "he called me this morning since someone hasn't been answering his calls," he said looking at me grinning
I rolled my eyes as I unlocked my phone, "breaking up with me and then continuing to call me is pretty dumb" I scoffed
"Awh what? He didn't tell me that" Fez said looking surprised
"After everything, Yami has put up with and this asshole decides to leave her" Rue shook her head
"Thats fucked up man" Fez agreed, "well Yams if you still care about him I can make the attention get off of him and onto someone else"
I looked at him puzzled, "how?"
"The parents are always the first suspects right?"
