Echoes of Betrayal

Rudra and Aditi are sitting together, surrounded by a serene night setting, the calm breeze in the air. Rudra seems disturbed, lost in his thoughts.

Rudra sighs deeply, staring into the distance. Aditi noticing Rudra's unease, gently places her hand on his, offering comfort to him.

Rudra  meets Aditi's gaze, feeling a rush of emotions and said It's just... my mind feels like a whirlwind tonight. pauses, hesitant at first, but then starts sharing his story

Rudra: Nitya and I knew each other since we were kids. Nitya me and gautam were best friends,our families were family friends, we all studied in the same school, we went to London for further studies,in London one day nitya proposed me, I was shocked she was just a friend to me I never had any kind of romantic feelings on her. She didn't take a no for an answer, she persuaded me continuously,one day seeing her I said yes. we completed our studies we came back to india gautam took over as a legal advisor to our company and I took over our  business successfully. Nitya was not interested in business or career.Our families  wanted us to get married, our marriage was a grand affair,days went on,we were happy, It was our 1st anniversary we arranged a grand party nitya drank way too much her behaviour was very inappropriate, which made my family furious at her inappropriate behaviour. Our company was dealing with a project. It was a joint project, I told my family that I'll be in Mumbai till the project ends and I thought nitya needs a fresh air to change herself, we went to Mumbai nitya and me were in our villa gautam too had another villa next to our house. We had many common friends  there in Mumbai nitya is a party animal. She wanted a party everyday and at night,I have stopped controlling on her drinking,
When we were in Mumbai nitya was unconscious one morning I was panicked and took her to the hospital and the doctor said she was 3month pregnant, I was happy my happiness has no bounds,gautam came to hospital, i shared good news with him he was very happy and hugged me.

Gautam: Ruddie iam going to be uncle, and you are going to dad.where is nitya I'll congratulate her.

Rudra: She didn't get consciousness still.
Gautam and rudra made their way nitya's bed, she just woke

Rudra : Nitu you know your going to mother, we are going to have a baby.

Gautam: Nitu you guys are always different, see you proposed him first which he has to do, now he is telling that you are pregnant, which is technically your area to say the good news.

Rudra: laughing, dialed his assistant to bring the sweet boxes and distribute them to everyone in the hospital.

Gautam and Rudra saw nitya silent since the news broke.

Rudra : Nitu what happened,are you not feeling well.

Nitya : Looking at rudra and gautam and said I don't want this she said showing her stomach, shocking both of them.

Gautam,was about to go out to give the couple privacy .Nitya stopped him Gautam stay, I need my friend today.

Nitya : Ruddie I don't want this baby, I want to abort.
