"You look like you've seen a ghost hon! You okay?" Jess asks as she places a tray full of small tumbles and golden shooters on the table.
"No, she just saw Liam and his band of brothers." Graham chuckles and hands me a glass. I take the glass and down my drink. I place the glass on the table and force the burn down with a shooter and immediately chase with another shooter.
"Say-linn!" Jess shouts but Graham cuts her off with his hand.
"Let the girl have some fun."
"Sorry." I apologize, trying to fight the burn of vodka mixed with tequila in my throat.
"Oh don't be sorry, here, have some more." Graham lifts two more shots and I obey and chuck it to the back of my throat
"Woaw!" I tap the shot glasses a couple of times on the table.
"There you go!" Graham laughs and holds out his fist. I return the gesture.
"Oh honey!" I turn and see Emma.
"HEY!" I jump up and throw my arms around her and feel my balance is abit off.
"How much have you had to drink?" Emma pushes me off her and holds onto my arms searching for my eyes.
"Too much!" Jess answers.
"Nonsense!" Graham shouts as I turn and see Jess hit his arm.
"Say-linn, let's get you home." I look at Emma and feel my insides turn.
"No, aren't you the one who begged me to come and now you want me to leave?" I bark and take another shot. Instantly the short glass drops from my hand and I look at Emma and see her eyes glowing with anger.
"Damn-it Say-linn! I said enough, let's go!"
My blood starts to boil as I reach behind me and pick up another shot.
"Smack my hand again like that and I'll break it." I slowly pour the tequila into my mouth and drop the glass on the table.
"I am trying to help you, why are you being so stubborn?"
"I don't want your help, Emma!" I push past her and walk towards the house. For a brief second, I forgot Liam and the guys were just a few feet away.
I look up and see Liam and company staring at me as I make my way past them and into the house with Emma's shouts drowning by the music.
Not tonight!
I walk behind the bar area and grab a bottle of Tequila. The vibration of the music starts calling me and I flow towards it like a bug to a light. I take a couple of sips and force it down while swaying to the beat.
My skin starting to feel clammy, I close my eyes and let the music consume me.
"What are you doing?" I feel a tug at my arm. I open my eyes and his dark eyes feeling like hot needles piercing through mine.
"Let go of me Liam!" I command and yank my arm but my attempt at freeing myself is met with disappointment.
"Fuck Sakes!" His grip tightens and I stumble closely behind him as he pulls me through the crowd, up the stairs and into the nearest room on the left. I fly towards the bed and turn around quickly hearing the door close behind me.
"Are you trying to kill yourself!?" He barks and storms towards me.
I stumble backward and land on the bed.
"What do you care?" I tease while taking another sip. I jolt with fright as he grabs the bottle from me and sends it flying across the room.
"Ah great! Now look at what you've done!" I stand up and try to go towards the broken bottle but his grip around my wrist halts my movement.
"You are so frustrating! I am taking you home." He pulls me with him and I dig my heels into the carpet and grab his hand around my wrist.
