"My name is Say-linn Kovan. I am twenty-eight years old. I moved here to the outskirts to get away from the busy city life and save up... See I know all the details, when am I going to be placed?" I sit upright and look out the window.
"Well done. I see you have done your homework. However, can you tell me what the rules are regarding your placement?"
I look towards Sarah as she pushes her glasses back in place.
"I cannot reveal my true identity to anyone and my social circle should remain small."
"Well done, you really are a fast learner Sage."
"I have been here for three months learning my new identity, and my name is not Sage." I wink.
Her blue eyes light up as she lets out a small laugh, she closes the file in front of her and takes off her glasses. "Very good, okay... We'll go over all the finer details of your placement in the morning. For now I am going to say night."
I stare at her as she gets up and closes the door behind her. I turn to face the window and all I can see is darkness with a light just standing in the middle of the garden next to a big tree.
I lie down, closing my eyes as tight as I can to cut off any tears trying to escape. But closing my eyes only forces me to see his face. No matter what I do I cannot run from him. I still feel him wherever I go. I can still smell the musky scent that lingers against his neck.
Everything about him is still so fresh in my memory. His voice still rings in my ears, deafening me.
His eyes...
I grab the pillow and start squeezing. My eyes burst open, unable to keep back the sickening emotions running through me. The pain gripping my heart causing a hole to form. A hole I know will never be fixed again.

A crippling ache shooting through my body, forces me to open my eyes. I see the door and notice I was lying on the floor. A sudden grip tightens on my hair pulling me up right. I grab my hair in an attempt to free myself but without warning something cold and hard was pressing against my face, leaving a throbbing feeling in my head. I open my eyes and see I was pinned against the kitchen counter with a heavy presence hovering behind me.
"Nikolai please can we skip this tonight!" I cry out as I try to push myself up. His grip tightens around my hair as I feel a sudden dull pain hit against my head.
The sound of fabric ripping focus my brain to what is busy happening as I feel my skirt being torn from me. His hand firmly wrapped around my hip I feel his warm body push against me.
Paralyzed I stay motionless, allowing the tears to flow. Giving into his rage, as he forcefully fills me.
Everything comes to a sudden halt. I feel him pull me up and turn me around. A smirk forms on his face while he gently rubs his finger against my cheek.
"Well, it looks like I wasn't the only one enjoying myself."
Confused, I stay silent keeping eye contact.
"What, you don't like our game?" His eyebrow arches moving his head closer as he gently kisses my jaw while gliding his lips down my neck.
My body starts shaking as I desperately try to swallow and stop my heavy breathing.
"Your body definitely told me something else... Do you want to know what it was?"
I feel his hands move down my side and stop by my hips as he gently applies pressure.
"It loved it... Begging me for more... Wanting me to treat you the way you deserve to be treated. That stunt you pulled in the room; that just proves you need to be punished. But luckily for you, I love it when you are feisty so I'll let this one go."
His warm breath lingers against my ear causing my heart to punch against my chest.
"Are you done?" I stutter.
His hand moves up grabbing my jaw firmly as he moves his eyes directly in line with mine.
"No." His grip tightens as he forces my lips to part, invading my mouth with his tongue.
My hands start to wander on the counter behind me, my fingers instantly wrap around a solid object; I bring it up with all of my strength driving it against his head. Feeling his pressure against me fade, I continue to hit him until he was no longer standing.
I immediately drop the object and run towards the room; I swing the cupboard open and grab the first pair of pants in view and get dressed as I run back towards the front door. I pause and see Nikolai still lying on the floor. I turn to look for the car keys. Everything inside me was racing as I see the keys lying next to the door.
I sprint and in one motion I pick it up and dart out the door towards the car. I fling myself in the car and steady my hand trying to push the key into the ignition.
"SAGE!"
His voice sends adrenaline pumping through my body. I start the car, dropping the handbrake and the sound of tires screeching makes me look ahead as the car came to a sudden stop against the gate, buckling it. I shift into reverse and hit the gas.
A sudden blow against my forehead causes me to fling back into the chair. Everything around me feels hazy. I rub my eyes trying to focus my vision. My blood dissapears as Nikolai hits the window.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING RUN FROM ME!"
I shift back into drive and hit the gas. I close my eyes seeing the gate moving closer. Hearing a loud noise, I open my eyes.
Open road.
I dig my foot into the gas pedal while fiddling with the wipers. I squint my eyes trying to see through the rain beating down on the window. My heart drops as I struggle to loosen my foot from the pedal. A sudden yank sends my knee flying up hitting the wheel, sending the car flying towards the side. I grab the wheel and yank back.
Everything slows down around me as I notice I was hovering above the seat. I close my eyes, allowing a peaceful darkness to creep in and take over.

"Whoa! Didn't mean to give you a fright!"
I look up and see Sarah sitting next to me.
"Sarah?"
A small smile forms as she opens a folder on her lap. "Yes Sarah, who else would it be?"
I sit upright rubbing my head.
"You don't look so good. Are you okay?" I look at Sarah seeing worry in her eyes.
"Yeah I'm okay, just a dream. So what are the details?"
She looks at her file and looks back at me as she clears her throat. "I will be moving you out in the next hour. You will be starting your new job at a basic call center next week Monday. That will give you enough time to settle in your apartment and get to know the town."
My heart beating faster; I stand up going towards the cupboard. "Wow, thank you Sarah."
"You don't seem too excited?"
I turn around and force a smile to form.
"No I am excited, it just seems so unreal."
