My thoughts come to a sudden halt as her faint moans flood my ears. I quickly get up and instantly take her hand and wrap it in mine.
"Say-linn?" I whisper.
Her eyes flicker for a bit and finally open enough for me to see the light gray shine through.
"Hey, are you okay?" I ask, wiping a strand of hair from her face.
"Liam?" Her voice sounds faint.
"What happened?" She blinks a few times.
"You had a seizure."
Her eyebrows arches and I see a look of worry flash over her face.
"A seizure?"
"Yeah. Doc says he thinks it might be in connection with your brain injury that is affecting your memories."
I see my words caused some sort of discomfort as she struggles to sit up.
"Hey! Take it easy." I say while helping her sit more upright. "Want to tell me about it?"
"Nothing to tell. Where are my clothes? My phone! I need to call-" Her voice sounds panicked and she starts moving the blanket from her body.
"Relax, Say-linn. They need to do more tests. You're staying the night. You can call whoever later."
"NO! I feel fine, where is my phone?"
She gets off the bed and pushes me aside.
Her rampant movements send things flying all over the place looking for her phone.
"Say-linn?" I say and take her hand but she instantly retracts and starts moving towards the door. I follow and grab her wrist and swing her towards me.
"You can't just leave. Why are you being like this?"
"You don't understand. I have to get out of here."
I wrap my free hand around her arm, careful not to hit the cast around her wrist.
"You don't understand! Let me go, Liam!" She shouts and tries to pull herself from me.
"Then make me!" I shout back and strengthen my grip more. Unable to move she stops struggling against me and closes her eyes while taking a deep breath.
"What happened to you?" I ask and let go of my hold on her.
"Why do you even care? You Barely know me." She bites back.
Honestly, I don't even know why I can't seem to let this slide.
"Do me a favor Liam, just leave. You hardly had the time of day for me before so don't act like you care now. I have had enough shit in my life."
"I wasn't-"
"-LEAVE!" Her scream cuts my sentence short. I feel rage starting to flood my veins.
"FINE!" I shout back and storm through the door and down the passage. Something inside me snaps and I send my fist towards the wall on my left.
