Malfoy Manor was decked in the most beautiful white, and crystal blue lights that Aurora had ever seen. Large peacocks strutted across the yard, and she had to struggle to contain her giggle. The way the peacocks walked reminded her of how the Malfoy's carried themselves. They were a pompous and arrogant family.

Lucius greeted them on his perfectly manicured lawn, and boasted about having the dark lord attending supper with them this evening. Aurora stayed close to Snape's side, she had known Lucius for a long time but they had only ever spoken to each other in passing.

As they entered the Manor, Diana Malfoy greeted them. She then showed them where they would be staying. Snape's room was adjacent to hers, and both were a carbon copy of each other. Except one was decorated in the richest greens and the other was Ivory and cream.

They weren't overly large but they definitely had plenty of room. There was a sitting area in front of a fireplace as soon as you entered the rooms. A single couch with an end table next to it, sat in front of a luxurious rug. Off to the right was a full bed, with mahogany posts attached to the frame. A lamp sat on a second end table off to the side of the bed, and a door was adjacent to that. Upon further inspection she confirmed that the door led to a private bathroom. The Malfoy's definitely loved to live in splendor.

"I'll leave you to get settled. Dinner will be served around six in the dining hall." Diana Malfoy told them and then walked away primly.

Aurora turned to put her things away, but stopped when she felt a hand grasp her elbow tightly. "You're not staying in here." Snape said.

Aurora furrowed her brow, "but Mrs. Malfoy said-"

His glare cut her off as he snarled, "I don't care. You sleep with me."

Aurora lowered her head and nodded submissively, "of course."  She picked up her bag and followed Snape into his room. She plopped her bag down on the ground, and sank into the sofa in front of the fireplace.

Snape walked over to her and sat down beside her, his thigh touching hers intimately. Aurora tensed slightly as he trailed his fingertips over the crease of her arm. "Don't be petulant. If I am to protect you, you can't be in an entirely different room than me." He told her.

His eyes were looking at her intensely, as he leaned forward and pressed a chaste kiss against her cheek. "Put your things away and start getting ready for dinner. The dark lord will be in attendance, so I expect you to look your best." He said firmly.

Aurora nodded, and rose up from her space on the couch. She was just getting ready to turn to the armoire when she was reminded of the fact that Snape was her intended. She should fulfill her duties as his fiance and put his things away as well. "Would you like for me to put away your things too?" She murmured lightly. Her head was not completely bowed, but she didn't meet his gaze as she asked the question.

Snape smiled at her, his eyes glittering triumphantly. "Of course. That is your job after all, isn't it? To see to the needs of your husband." He goaded her.

Aurora bit her tongue hard enough to draw blood, but she still couldn't stop herself from saying, "you're not my husband yet." She reached down to grab his bag forcefully but stopped when Snape suddenly grabbed a handful of her hair. He yanked her head back and she was forced to her knees, so she wouldn't lose her balance and topple on top of him.

Snape glared hotly at her, "you will refrain from your outbursts during our stay at Malfoy Manor, and especially once we are in front of the dark lord. Do you understand?" He asked, his voice laced with a warning.
