Brant was training with Fintan making fireballs and stuff then he felt unsafe so lightheaded to Jolie's room and still had the fire on him so he accidentally burned her then regretted it later on and the only reason he was part of the Neverseen was because he was trained by Fintan and just got manipulated to be but he would have joined the Black Swan like Marella if they were to recruit him a head a time and if Fintan was in a cold place training with him he wouldn't have accidentally murdered Jolie at all.
