Author's Note: I am aware that what I am about to say may upset many fans of Disney's Rapunzel compared to the Brothers' Grimm's version Disney's is the newest and possibly darkest Disney movie ever made. Even the Atlantis movie didn't get so horribly dark. Disney's Tangled is also the weakest writing even with the helpful twists off the original story. Number 1, Rapunzel's deepest flaw she is practically a Mary Sue, she's perfect at everything but she hardly has any emotion to her character. And I am talking more voice acting emotion. The only time you feel genuine emotion from Mandy Moore as Rapunzel is in Tangled "I have a Dream song" and that's it her voice falls flat with emotion the rest of the movie throughout every other last song. She is still 100% Mary sue throughout the movie. Because of this I just can't root for her she doesn't feel human. She doesn't feel real. Even her crying feels a little too lightly shallow in the beginning of the movie and her anger feels so hollow, honestly.
