I chose the mask with the highest coverage from the options. I wanted to appear invisible. I wanted to get lost and stay far away from my family and the other death eaters, it was a death eater ball, was it not? Who wouldn't want to get away.
I paired my outfit with a silver pendant with a blue sapphire crystal and pearl earrings.
I was ready.
It was time to go see my father and brother, Lucia was too young to come with us.
But I wanted to appear invisible, I mustn't be seen by my father. So I told Lucia to tell my father that I would be accompanied by my friends. I snuck out and Apparated to Marcus's house, where we had already agreed to meet.
I arrived outside his house gates and waited. Soon, a man came up to me in all black.
"Identification?" He asked
I took of my mask and replied "Nightshade"
That's all it took, he smiled a dry smile and bowed while opening the gates.
I wasn't proud of the power my name gave me, but it gave me confidence and since I couldn't run from it, I decided to embrace it.
I entered slowly and the doors opened revealing Marcus, with a wide grin, apparently he was taking Eliana as his date. Ezra was with Jess, I was taking this one solo, didn't want to be held back. My father was probably going to be livid, leaving without him and not having a date, but that was for the future.
Marcus looked good in his outfit, I have to admit.
