17 | for sure!!

as soon as the match starts In-hye scores a point and of course we all cheered and shouted for her.

I always feel this whenever I watch In-hye play but the passion in her eyes and the way her whole body moves, it still amaze me every single time. She looks like a total different person when she is in the court; playing, her passion and dedication is something I always look up and respect about her.

the game proceeds and they were tied.

things were getting intense as only a minute was left and as we feeling all tensed Niki steals the ball from the opponent's hand in an instant, then tries to make a shot but he got blocked by 3 of their opponents

so he looks around for a moment and then passes it to In-hye who was few feets away from him, as soon as In-hye got the ball, she aims and shots. It just 3 seconds till the game was over and she did it!! the ball enters the net and the referee blows the whistle indicating the game has ended

we all shouted in happiness as we raise the cheer cards higher, yes In-hye did it and our school won!!! I was just so overwhelmed that I drop the card I was holding and turn to hug the person next to me.

"yes!!! our In-hye did it once again!!" I shout and drew myself back as I stop jumping

my smiles fades away when I realise that it was Sunghoon who I hugged.

I quickly turn my back to him and pick up my card as I try to act natural, then steal a glance at Sunghoon and he was slightly smiling then and I too smiled quitely, I guess I gotta thank In-hye for this moment.....

I then turn to look at the court and continue cheering for In-hye who is now celebrating with her teammates

she looks at our direction and flashes a bright smile, I was taken aback a bit cause.....4 years of friendship it was my first time seeing her smile that happily and that brightly.

I look to who she was smiling at and seems like it was Sunoo.

Sunoo stops cheering and looks at In-hye, then smiles brightly as they both nod looking at each other......oh what is happening!?

In-hye's story:

an hour before the match begins In-hye was with her team-mates at the club room getting ready for their match, the match was Saejin High's team vs Myunjin High's team.

"guys!! remember to always try your best and no cheating, if I see any of you cheating it won't be good" she states passionately.

In-hye is the only girl in Saejin's high official basketball team; her love, passion and dedication for basketball is on another level that she was only a 1st year student she defeated 12 men to join the school's official basketball team. and just few months later she got appointed as the team's Captian, our school don't have a seperate basketball club for girl students as no girl in the whole school was interested in basketball, In-hye is the first and only girl to ever make it to the official team let alone be the captain -

Sunoo slightly knocks at the club room's door and In-hye motions Niki to go open the door

Niki opens the door and saw Sunoo standing, "come in" he says.

Sunoo smiles in all ears as he enters the room and see In-hye sitting at a bench, In-hye also looks happy with his presence there

"what brought you here?" In-hye asks as she got up and walk towards him

"I came to wish you good luck for the match" Sunoo replies still in smiles

In-hye slightly nods then looks at her teammates "all of you leave for now"

they at once leaves the room as In-hye's words always carries a lot of weights and everyone in the team respects her a lot too

"take a seat" she motions Sunoo to the bench next to them and she herself takes a seat

Sunoo also sits down besides her and takes out a chocolate milk from his pocket and gives it to her saying "here! drink it up"

In-hye stares at Sunoo for a moment without taking the drink."you are giving me this without any special reason or is it for the match?"

Sunoo smiles at her question "um....well for both of course"

In-hye satisfied with his answer finally takes the drink, opens it and takes a sip of it, then exclaims "oh!"

Sunoo was so surprised by her reaction "why? is it weird?" he panicks

"no but why does this tatse a lot more taster today?" she speaks keeping a confused and nolanchant face. Sunoo laughs when he realises that he was getting teased and In-hye also burst into laughter along with him

"aren't you nervous?" Sunoo speaks after sharing a good laugh

In-hye looks all calm as she give her reply "um I would be lying if I say I'm not but I try not to show my nervousness to others"

Sunoo's expression changes, he looks so serious and curious as he asks "why?"

In-hye takes another sip of the chocolate milk, then speaks "because if I show it, my teammates...they will get nervous too and it might affect them and then the game"

Sunoo eyes sparkles as he looks at her in amazement and in respect "wah...you are a lot more cooler than I thought of"

In-hye laughs at his reaction "haha really?" and Sunoo nods in yes with so much power and seriousness

"it's just that basketball is not just something I have passion for but it's more like a lifestyle, I can't live without it" In-hye continues as she smiles a bit.

Sunoo smiles softly as he looks at her and pat her head "you are an amazing person In-hye" he says

In-hye at once looks at him all surprised by his comment and for the sudden physical touch, she gulps and get up at once in all flusteredness, Sunoo too gets up from his seat in confusion

In-hye turns her back to Sunoo as she tries to calm herself down, then lets out a deep breath and turns back to look at Sunoo. Her expression changes and she looks all serious as she comes closer to Sunoo

"if I win the match today can you be boyfriend?" she asks firmly and with eyes full of hope

but Sunoo didn't give her an answer and just stood there still and so frozen.

right then the door opens and Niki enters "noona it's almost time for the match" he informs.

In-hye nods "alright ask the others to come here".

she then looks at Sunoo expecting for an answer but Sunoo avoids making eye contact with her.

"ah...um...the...then all the best for the game, I'll...le..leave now" he says in all stutters, then turns away and leave

In-hye felt all rejected and sad when he left, her head was all lowered *I thought the feelings were mutual* she thought to herself as she sighs

but just as Sunoo was about to take a step outside the room he stops and turns to look back at In-hye and his sparkles as he flashes a bright smile

"make sure to win the game later, I'll be looking forward to it"

In-hye lifts her head at once all surprised by his words and it took a moment for her to process his words, and when she finally got it a bright smile flashes on her face as she confidently replies "I will, for sure!!"
