CHAPTER 3 : WHAT ON EARTH?!

Y/n was walking towards the school canteen when suddenly someone yelled at Y/n from behind. Y/n looked back and saw her brother Min Yoongi.

Y/n : what do you need?
Yoongi : did you eat?
Y/n : so you really need something.
Yoongi : lend me some money.
Y/n : seriously?
Yoongi : i forgot to bring my wallet. I'll return you soon.
Y/n : fine.
Yoongi : btw your friend Joy is looking pretty today.
Y/n: ugh. Get lost before i kill you.
Yoongi : bye sissy.

Y/n rolled her eyes and went inside the canteen to join her friends. All the girls were eating peacefully when Jeonghan showed up. He ran towards them and sat on a chair. He motioned everyone to come closer. Looked like his man has some burning tea to spill.

Jeonghan : Girls i got an information and it's quite confirmed.
Lisa: spill the tea bruh.
Jeonghan : After the tiffin-break, our monthly exam results will be published.
Jennie : (rolled her eyes and said) how do you know)
Jeonghan : i was passing through the staff room and heard it accidentally.
Y/n : just say you eavesdropped.
Jeonghan. Kinda.
Joy : i'm doomed.
Jeonghan : wait, the scariest part is the result is gonna be announced in the classroom.
Y/n : i thought we would get it individually from the office.
Jeonghan : nope. We're all dead meat today.
Joy : i'm quite sure i failed in several subjects.
Y/n : i think i failed in Math and Science ofc.
Jeonghan : i think i failed in life.

All of them burst out in laughter when the beel rang. All those smiley faces turned into a sad and tense one.

Joshua pov

I was sitting near Y/n's table when i saw the jeonghan guy running towards them. I hate him as much as i hate Y/n. They're so annoying. I was lost in my thoughts when when i heard Hoshi screamed 'horanghae'.
Same shit different day.

Mingyu : stfu man. It's annoying.
Hoshi : just admit the fact I'm a tiger.
Joshua : no You're not.
Mingyu : btw monthly exams results are gonna be publised today. Prepare your ass to hear tons of lectures.
Joshua : ik i have blown up the exams. Might come first in our section.
Hoshi: bruh i want that position too but this Y/n just keep snatching my chance away.
Joshua : ikr. But not this time. I'm confident. ( he leaned in the chair dramatically)
Mingyu : i just know i failed. But they said they are gonna make us do special coaching classes if we fail in even one subject.
Joshua : this is so annoying. But idc cause i passed them all.
Hoshi : Don't be overconfident man. This month's paper was hard.
Mingyu : exactly. I think everyone is gonna fail in one subject at least.

After the tiffin-break, they went to their class and soon Mrs. Lee showed up with bunch of report cards.

Y/n pov

As i saw Mrs.Lee coming with the report cards i knew this time Jeonghan was right. Suddenly someone put a water bottle in my desk. I knew it was none other than Joshua Hong.

Joshua : drink up. I think your throat is drying up. ( he passed me a cheeky smile)

Y/n : bruh plz I'm already so tensed. So shut this crap. ( i rolled my eyes and gave him his bottle back)

Joshua pov

Mrs.Lee started to hand out the papers. I saw that some papers are organised separately from the ones she was giving out. Those might be the ones who failed.
Why do i care anyways.

Gosh the last paper is left in out teacher's hand. I wish it's me.

Mrs.Lee : and now we have the last paper left which belongs to this month's topper.

I just prayed it was me.

Mrs.Lee : YOON JEONGHAN.

What!?

Jeonghan!! This must be a joke. I turned to see Mrs.Lee giving the paper to Jeonghan. Bruh, he looked like he can't believe what happened just now. I also noticed Y/n's eyes turned wider than our school's hallway.

Jeonghan pov

Mrs.Lee : YOON JEONGHAN.

what on earth!? I,Yoon Jeonghan topped?

I can hear Y/n gasping beside me and i don't blame her cuz i just said i failed in life.

I gladly took my mark sheet from our teacher. I really topped. My marks weren't that high. Ig It's because this month everyone fucked up the exam. As I'm not as worthy as Joshua, Hoshi amd Y/n for this spot.
Every month they fight over this spot and it makes enough sense tbh. The topper has extra facilities.

Y/n pov

I'm shocked to the point i started gasping. Yoon Jeonghan that freaking liar. Ok, i'm so happy for him btw. He needs buy us a meal now. Soon Mrs. Lee started speaking again.

This time she took the papers which were organised separately from the earlier ones.I'm doomed fr. I looked at Joy with a tensed look and so she did. Jennie and Lisa, they somehow passed. Luck was on their side today.

Mrs. Lee : Before i start giving out these precious report cards, i would like to make another announcement.

Joy : i have a bad feeling about this. ( she whispered in my ear)
Y/n : me too.

Mrs.Lee : Your summer vacation starts next week.

Joy : oh my god. ( she jumped as the whole class started cheering)

Mrs.Lee: but the owners of the report cards i'm holding right now wouldn't get a vacation. Which means they still have to attend the special coaching classes for respective subjects everyday.

Joy : i said i had a bad feeling about this.
Y/n : i fucking hate my life.

I was disappointed to myself and more angry on Jeonghan, Lisa and Jennie. They passed and they would get a proper vacation when i and Joy wouldn't.

What on earth is happening in this school!!?
