Chapter 47

MONDAY

Today was the last day of semester

Which meant that the summer break officially started

Of course none of us wanted to just lay in bed all day so Kate,Isaac,me and Nathan decided to go on a little trip

We only ever hung out together at the school dance or at the beach

Kate suggested that we go hiking

She claims she found the perfect place for stargazing so we need to arrive at our destination before the sun sets

Therefore we're already leaving in a few minutes

It's currently 3:30pm

The sun sets at around 8pm

We need an hour drive to the starting point and then about 2 hours to get to the so called 'perfect spot for stargazing'

"do you have everything packed?" she asked after zipping up her backpack

"yeah"

"okay, I'll just go to the bathroom and then we can get going"

I watched her walk to the bathroom, closing the doors behind her

I was just about to get up from the bed when my phone started ringing

I pulled it away from the charger and looked at the screen

My mom was calling me

I pressed the green button and put the phone by my ear

"hi mom"

"hi honey, how are you?"

"I'm good, what about you?"

"I'm great, in fact your dad is finally taking me to the cinema today"

"that's great, I can't remember when was the last time you two did anything that comes even close to a date"

"I know" she chuckled

We remained quiet for a second before my mom spoke up again

"but that's not why I'm calling"

"is there anything else?"

"yes, do you remember how I told you that you'll have to get your wisdom teeth removed this year?"

Unfortunately I do

And I tried not to think about it too much since everyone was saying that it's not exactly a pleasant experience

"yes, why?"

"that appointment's tomorrow"

So soon?

"mom how many times have I told you to tell me this things in advance not like a day before"

"at least it's not an hour before"

"not helpful mom"

"sorry"

"so you guys are coming into town tomorrow then?"

"yeah, we'll pick you up at your campus at 3pm"

"okay, text me when you get there"

"we will, see you tomorrow honey"

"bye, see you"

I hung up and put my phone down beside me

I rested my head against the wall

I hope it won't hurt
