Chapter 9

FRIDAY MORNING

I stepped out of the bathroom

I'm wearing a white sundress with light blue flower patterns

When I checked the weather app yesterday and saw that today's going to be almost as hot as in summer days I decided to wear a dress

I can't believe it's almost may

That means that only about two more months are left until the competition

"you look cute today" I heard Kate say

"thanks"

"can you wait for me so we can go to the class together?" she asked

"yeah sure but hurry up, the class starts in 20 minutes"

she grabbed her clothes and almost sprinted to the bathroom

I started putting all the notebooks for today in my bag when I got a new notification on my phone

It was Nathan

I opened our chat

HOCKEY MORON: "I'll be waiting outside your campus with Isaac at 3pm"

Kate agreed to go to the beach so of course there was no room left for arguments

It's okay though, I'm kinda looking forward to it. I haven't been to the beach in ages

that reminds me, I have to pack my swimsuit

I heard the sound of the bathroom door opening an then closing

"okay I'm ready" Kate said

"you packed everything for later?" I asked

"sunscreen, two pair of swimsuits, sweets, sun glasses, shorts, T-shirt, a towel, water" she paused for a moment

"wait I forgot one thing"

she started searching through her drawers

I just observed her carefully

she pulled out a box

"found it"

"what is that?"

she grinned as she showed it to me

'truth or drink'

"I can't believe you still have this" I said laughing

we used to play this in high school

"we'll need something to do when we get tired of swimming" she said putting it in her bag

"okay good point, let's go now"

We entered the classroom

The professor's not here yet

We have english class

"Did you do the homework?" I asked Kate as we sat down

she looked at me confused "we had homework?"

"good to know I'm not the only one without"

she shrugged

her phone started buzzing

"it's Isaac" she said happily as she picked it up

I leaned back in my seat and closed my eyes

I'm so tired

I barely get any sleep lately

my eyes opened when I heard my name come up

"Gia" Kate said

"what?"
