Chapter 30

MONDAY

HIS POV

I just got back from my morning jog

Gia's still asleep since it's only 8am

Her parents are already awake. Her mom's making breakfast and her dad went to the grocery shop to get some ingredients for Gia's cake

I told Gia yesterday that I'll help her mom prepare lunch today, but really I'm helping her with baking Gia's birthday cake

My uncle and aunt are coming to visit tomorrow and celebrate Gia's birthday with us and so are Kate and Isaac

I feel like tomorrow's going to be a great day and I'm really looking forward to it

Especially since I want to see Gia's reaction when I show her her birthday present, I think she's gonna love it

I entered my room and headed to the bathroom right away

I'm in a need of a shower, desperately

I walked out of the bathroom with wet hair and nothing but a towel around my waist

I can't wait to put on a pair of sweatpants and a shirt and get comfy

That day after I brought Gia to her parents house I ended up staying the night, not leaving Gia's side

The next morning I went back to my dorm and got some clothes and some necessities like toothbrush, cologne and so on, before coming back here

That morning I also received a call from my uncle, telling me that Alex's going to be put away for good

I do feel like paying him a visit though, but I feel that if I do, I won't be able to control myself and might do something reckless

My thoughts were suddenly cut off when I heard rumbling. I turned my head to the direction of the wardrobe

Gia was standing there, searching through it

I walked over to her, my torso almost touching her back when spoke up

"can I help you?"

She froze and looked up at me

She gave me an innocent smile

"just looking" she said

"for what?" I asked as I titled my head a little to the side

"well I didn't bring your hoodie with me so I'm looking for a new one"

I just smiled at her words

"then all you had to do was ask"

I walked over to her side and it didn't go past me how her eyes traveled down my body, stopping at my waist

I let her stare, not saying a word

Instead, I extended my head towards the wardrobe, taking out the hoodie that I consider one of my favourite ones

I left her side and walked over to the bathroom

I sprayed my cologne all over the hoodie and then walked back to Gia to give it to her

"here, that should solve your problem for the time being" I said as I handed it to her

She took it and immediately put it on

"thanks"

She just stood there, not saying anything more

Her eyes didn't leave my body and just stared at it shamelessly

"distracted?" I asked teasingly

Her eyes shifted up to me, a small frown on her face
