A glimpse of hope

Starscream looked across the empty space of the canyon. The winds echoing through the seamless landscape. The sky seeming better than land every second. He moved his wings a bit only to be met with pain as he winced.

The Autobot base wasn't as bad as he thought it would. One thing that was for sure, they definitely did care for other Autobots. The humans were annoying though. He let out a small chuckled as he thought of that, "I bet they drive Ratchet crazy. Even more than I do."

He heard the elevator come up as he heard footsteps behind him. "What are you doing up here, Screamer?" Arcee asked as she came into his line of vision. He rolled his optics as he seemed to ignore her comment. "I'm guessing you miss being able to fly." She said in a slightly sympathetic manner. This should have shocked the seeker but he managed to keep his cool, "And what if I do, I'm a seeker we're built for flying, not walking around and staying on the ground like you."

"Of course...spoiled prince." She murmured the last part, hoping for him not to hear. "Says you." He chuckled.

"What does that mean?" She spat her optics narrowing. Starscream couldn't help but smile, "Don't act like you weren't spoiled yourself, princess." He mocked. "I wasn't spoiled, I still did stuff to help my people. More than you ever did. You were always to obsessed with your own ego. Making sure your subjects obeyed you or feared you."

He looked to her annoyed as he looked her in the optics as he spoke, "You try getting ready to run a kingdom without your sire's guidance and trying to help with your siblings!" "Oh is that your excuse? Alright, try losing your carrier when you were young, you piece of scrap." She spat harshly, tears in the corners of her optics as she still remembered the moment crystal clear.

He say the pain in her optics as she said it. He was torn between dropping his guard for this one moment or to keep his snarky attitude. He froze finally reaching and placing his hand on her shoulder. Arcee's optics as she blinked a few times before she looked up to him. She smiled a bit as she finally let a tear fall.

He wiped away the tear as they stood there for a few seconds. Starscream finally cleared his throat as they blushed faintly. She took a few steps back, "Agree, never to tell anyone about this?" She said with a smile. "You have my word, if you even trust my word." He chuckled. "For once, I think I do." She said with a small laugh.

"Oh this is good." Wheeljack laughed as he stood with a camera.

"Wheeljack!" Starscream and Arcee exclaimed at the same time. "And me!" Miko smiled. "Why doesn't that surprise me?" Starscream sighed. "Because it's Miko."

"Wait, but didn't Screamy kill Cliffjumper? Does this mean you forgive him?" Miko asked. Arcee's optics narrowed as she pushed Starscream away and went back down into the base.
