The star was spotted out and about in NYC on Monday, September 3. According to pics snapped by paparazzi, Scarlett and the mystery woman were seen strolling arm-in-arm.
Rumours that the two times divorcée had found a new love have been circulating for weeks now; in April earlier this year, the pair was spotted at a West Hollywood restaurant, with another source claiming to have seen the duo at an L.A.-based Whole Foods, looking "pretty lovey" and locked in an embrace, sending fans into speculation overdrive.
It wasn't long before more details began to emerge — along with plenty of reactions from fans. The Sun later identified Scarlett's mystery friend as Lita Meyer, someone the actress has reportedly known for a little while now. Very little is known about Scarlett's alleged girlfriend, though fans have been seemingly relentless in trying to track her down on social media.
Fans are somewhat divided over the news of Scarlett's possible relationship, but most are weighing in to support the actress. And as one fan pointed out, it's important to remember to be respectful, regardless of your opinion.

I sigh as I see yet another headline about Lita and me. New articles are coming out every day at this point, with pictures of us going out for dinner, or chatting at the park while Rose plays... I didn't even notice people taking pictures and now knowing that we were being watched makes my blood run cold.
I read over the short article a few times, trying to fully process what's being said.

Lita told me to stay calm, she seems so relaxed about the whole thing, but I know it's just a front. I know the both of us are freaking out. I try to tell myself, it was bound to happen sooner or later. It doesn't make me feel any better.
For now, we've decided not to speak out and comment on anything. The both of us are hoping for the rumours to die down by the end of next week. That caused us to reschedule a few things we wanted to do together. If we were spotted together again so soon, we would be swamped by the paparazzi which neither of us want.
