OKAY SO HERE'S THE THING, I wanted to meet with Lita earlier... but I was pretty busy. I started to work on my lines and between that and Rose, life has been hectic. I tried texting her everyday, like we used to. However, her answers are short and come off as cold, so I don't push her. I tell myself she had a bad day at work, or that she's exhausted and fell asleep early... It doesn't really work.

All of this to say, I haven't seen Lita in almost two weeks.

I miss our silly little conversation, talking about everything and anything and completely forgetting the time or falling asleep on our phones. It's different now, and I don't like it. I don't like it at all.

I don't know what happened, or if I did something, but I guess one of my missions today is to figure out what's going on with her. It's Mother's Day, so my mother took Rose out, so she can buy a gift which leaves me plenty of time to visit Lita and get my mother some flowers at the same time like I told her I would.

It feels like time flies by every time I know I'll meet Lita. I used to think the flower shop was pretty far away from our home, but honestly the walk there feels like only 10 minutes. Then before I know it, the bell rings, breaking me out of my thoughts and as soon as I step in, the strong scent of all the flowers mixed together hits me. And that's when I know I'm in the right place.

It's less busy than I thought it would be if I'm being honest. Sure there are a few people around, but it wasn't crowded either. Though, I can't seem to find Lita anywhere. There's Leah who's busy with clients, and even Erin is there behind the counter. "Hey Erin! How are you?"

"I'm good! How about you Scarlett, how are you?"

"I'm doing okay. Do you know where Lita is?"

"Oh yeah she's just in the back, in her office."

"Great, thanks!" She holds the door open for me and I walk to Lita's office. There my favourite people are, all huddled around Lita's desk, so focused and whispering. Are they planning a murder or something?

Of course I know they aren't, they're here for Mother's Day obviously, where else would they go? "Hey there! What are you all doing in here?" They all jump and turn around. I think I gave my mom a heart attack, but I just laugh as she glares daggers at my head a hand over her heart. Lita is just laughing her head off, looking down and when I notice what's going on I just start to laugh again. Rose, to hide her present I presume, just sat on top of Lita's desk, her clothes covering what they were all hovering over a minute ago. I can imagine she's making a card, I can see the little white corners still.

"NO MAMA DON'T LOOK!" She warned and I backed off. What a bossy little lady, I wonder who she got that from. "Don't look mommy, you're going to ruin the surprise." She says as Lita lifts her off the desk and I cover my eyes with my hand until I know it's hidden somewhere.

"Why don't you two go, we'll be fine here? Won't we, sweetheart?"

"Yes!" Rose pushes us out the office and close the door in our face. I guess we're a little too stunned to speak. One, my daughter just bossed us around and two, I think Lita is more surprised that she's been locked out of her own office.

"So..." I say once I decide we stood in silence like two Playmobil for too long. "Hi." And she breaks out a small smile. Okay, now time for my best Joey from FRIENDS impression. Ready? Okay, here it goes... "How you doin'?"

She laughs, like her genuine laugh. Not just a small giggle no. Her laugh, God I've missed her laugh.

"I'm doing good. You?"
