Kazuha desperately tried to resucitate him.

As he treaded back to land, Xiao desperately hauled Scaramouche back onto the grass. His eyes were shut and his body seemed lifeless.

The group ran around, each of them desperately trying to help their unconscious friend. Tomo nervously held a phone up to his ear as he sorrowfully stared at the red-eyed male's attempts at CPR.

No response.

Y/N heard sirens a few minutes later as medical assistants rushed around them in order to aid them in the fight to get the water out of Scaramouche's system. Thankfully, due to their experience, dark blue eyes widened as he began coughing the water out of his lungs.

"Kazu..." was the only word they heard from him before he was wheeled off for an emergency evaulation.

Heizou held onto Y/N's arm, fearful for what was to come. One thought rang through his mind.

This is my fault. If I hadn't investigated any of this, this wouldn't have happened.

Cyno opened his mouth to speak, his tone bitter. "The culprit is obviously trying to take us out. We need to figure out the next nightmare, and stay alert."

"So then..." Itto hung his head low.

Yoimiya finished his sentence for him. "Who's next?"

i began investigating tighnari's sudden attack first, and the culprit even went as far to text me on a fake number and threaten y/n's safety if i didnt drop the case
i refused to and instead moved y/n and b/n to a safer location
