Douglas stopped, it was as if cold entered his chest "Woah" Douglas almost fell out starting to feel light-headed, Mayuri repaying the favor from earlier was able to grab him by the arm and steady him "Yuri...do you think....we probably should've heard from Gano.... but we haven't yet...." trembling and shaking, his mind was coming close to concluding a truth his heart couldn't handle yet.
Mayuri felt something similar, but knowing there were things that still needed to be done, decided not to have time to care "No Douglas, it's gonna take awhile to finish...for all we know they may haven't even got started yet. Now come on!" Mayuri couldn't react in time as curiosity got its kill as Douglas pulled out his phone to see what could be gathered from current events.
"No" What he saw sent him into spiral "No!!" he dropped his phone, screen cracking as it replayed earlier, Mayuri refused to watch, already knowing the outcome "Douglas...Douglas..Douglas.." Mayuri called out as he broke down into a blubbering mess "WE don't have time for that!!" Soft sobbing continued "Fine. I'll do it myself, walking over she chopped him in the back of the neck and slung him over her back.
Eyes watering and stinging, she held everything back "A fool's errand..he met a fool's end....I've never been one for sentiment-" Mayuri took a long look back "So for both of us I'll take revenge!" Walking over to Ramie she drug him by his collar; fury fueled, her body was starting to tire and fatigue 'No...' an image flashed right before Mayur's eyes 'Not again!' Powers out of whack, as she took a glance she could see Derrick and Gano both walking ahead 'Again! But this time I won't let Akurasa win!'
Musera was driving and almost crashed, using her powers to keep tabs, Isla took one look and nothing else needed to be said "We're too late" It was neither question nor statement of fact, in truth it was something Isla said in hopes that someone or something would challenge or contradict. Yoshino looked out, it started to rain out the blue as grey clouds gathered overhead "Yosh" riding backseat he started out the window through the pane as rain stuck to the glass.
It started to Thunder "Yosh-" Isla attempted to comfort him "I can't feel it...I can't feel his wind..it seems Akurasa's had his way yet again.." Musera's whole demeanor changed, try as she might she couldn't hear the music now-only silent screams..echoes of violence. Isla wrinkled her nose "No time to mourn yet guys. All we can do is put a stop to that creep Akurasa let loose. That's the only way we can avenge him now" Isla's tone was a matter of fact.
Yoshino looked forward, Thunder starting to quiet and the winds not blowing as strong, still there was an occasional flash of lightning in the sky "Keep that up-" Isla looked back "And he'll know we're coming now.." A gust of wind blew, almost pushing them into the next lane.
Musera foot rested heavy on gas, they were going well over hundred miles now, picking up speed, they were only fifteen minutes or so from town "Yoshino remember what you said about Akurusa's wind" Yoshino looked at Musera, but she knew he was looking through her now.
Musera cackled "Ha!! I guess that bastard's going to get his chance now" Musera spoke in an icy tone . In addition to ran, it also started to hail " Akurusa's wind was always sad, wistful, there was an apathy and melancholy-as if he was already through with life now....I'm glad" Yoshino let out a maniacal laugh "Pff...tffff..Pff.. tf ff.." Isla was unsettled "Yosh?" Yoshino just continued laughing "Yes that's good...he's already forfeited his life so now that he's taken Gano's I can have no hesitation in paying him in kind now!!" Face twisting into a sneer, the hair stood up on Isla's neck 'Yeah. They're out for blood now. Can throw making up a plan out the window...'
Gano started coming to and despite being prepared to meet his end, instead of heaven or hell, he found himself in a void of sorts "Wait? I'm not dead?" Gano eyes opening to, all he could see was a haze of purple, it was hard to describe where he was, but everything seemed to be reverberating and moving in waves "So where the hell is here now?" Gano knew first thing first was to move his limbs "Okay, so I'm floating and swimming, like an ocean..or maybe space?" Using his powers, he found it a lot easier to move again. A giggle could be heard, desperate for human contact, he tapped into his mind and did his best to move in that direction once whoever it was heard again.
