"So first things first-" Gano, Brook, and Douglas arrived in downtown Vanecia, having parallel parked they had gotten out to explore "What?" Brook asked as he and Douglas waited for Gano to finish what he was about to say "More than anything it's important to stock up" Taking off in a sprint , he headed straight towards the concessions.
Douglas had to hold Brook back who had started fuming "That....green-haired...mutha man...Let me at him!"Brook tried his best to keep his voice down as Douglas struggled to keep him at bay "I know. I know." Douglas forearms was about to break-Brook was strong "Get...your...friend...to focus" his voice lowered into a threatening growl "Or I will..."
"Brook just chill and try to calm down-" Douglas backed up slow put his hands in front of his face just in case "I'm going to get him..now...want me to bring you anything" A shadow cast itself over Brook's face, one look was all it took for Douglas to make a break for it as well "Yo Gano! Gano!" Douglas shouted certain no one would know him in town "Wait up!"
Musera's world started to spin upside down as she found herself lost in a whirlwind of emotion as a certain someone's name reacher her ears "No...way..." purple eyes glazed over, a dizzy spell almost mad her lose balance "Musera! Musera! Musera!! Are you okay!?" Looking down at Leslie's small fragile form, Musera felt her mind about to fracture and reality about to break.
"Leslie, I...have to take you to your parents and step away...I have go check something out..but I'm going away...I'll be right back. Okay?" Leslie eyes watered, hugging Musera's leg "Okay" Taking Leslie by hand, Musera took Leslie over to her parents "Hey guys, I've got an important call from work, I need to step away for a minute...I'm sorry"
Apologizing before turning away, Musera refused to look back, knowing she'd be torn seeing disappointment etched on Leslie's face, people's voices were unique and everyone emits unique sound waves, it didn't take Musera long to focus and hone in on where Gano was amongst the crowd "There!" pushing past people, there he stood in black shirt and green jacket, his back turned.
"So it was you" Gano spoke before Musera had a chance to reach out and touch him "Seems you guys made it safe over here" turning around Gano's green eyes met Musera's purple as they locked gaze "Friend of yours Gano?" Douglas' eyes darted back and forth "Not sure, maybe more of an old acquaintance" Gano replied locking eyes with Musera.
Without warning Musera slapped Gano-hard "You! How dare you!! So everything's just one big joke!" this drew attention from the crowd "Guys, Douglas got between the two "Maybe now's not the best time to this here" he suggested, Gano's face had turned red and stung, Musera's eyes in a similar state.
"Whoever this is you're paling around with is right, let's go to a more secluded space to hash things out" Musera was seething with rage "Follow me" turning quick on her heels, people moved out of their way "Douglas, find Brook and tell him we may have found a lead, I'll text you soon as we're done" Douglas looked Gano up and down "You sure?"
Gano couldn't help but chuckled "Yeah...I"m sure...I'll turn my location on so you guys don't end up straying too far away-be safe." he instructed, Douglas heard him loud and clear and ran off to bring Brook up to speed "So where to?" Gano asked Musera and received no reply "Guess we'll found out soon" he muttered under his breath.
"So why'd you leave?" Musera spoke up after awhile, they'd walked a couple blocks away from where everything was going on and found an empty park to talk "You already know" Gano answered with folded arms and closed eyes "Why'd I lead you guys over here is what you're probably wondering.." he mused aloud.
"No" there was a finality to Musera's tone "Selfish is kind of your thing when it comes to our group, whether it was rushing in headfirst on a mission or saving someone who didn't want to be saved, it's always come down to staying true to your heart's ideals-others be damned" this caused Gano to look up then away.
