Brook looked back and smirked "You all we got now" Douglas shook his head "You guys are strange, thought I had dibs on being weird, so Gano if enough if these rules get broken who disciplines you guys? Is it some interdimensional council that gets involved??"
Gano placed a finger on his chin "Kind of, most of the time they force you to return...that's what worries me with how far Akurasa seems to be willing to go...even a loophole wouldn't shield him from reprimand so if he's that confident-" Douglas read his mind "He must have something up hi sleeve to give him the upper hand."
Gano shuddered "Even I don't want to cross those guys, that's why Mayuri wouldn't us to split up, if she can reach Akurasa and shut him down around when we rescue Tess mayhem can be avoided...I think.." Douglas pondered in though "That's probably right..but that worries me.." Gano blinked several times "What?"
Douglas sighed "Akurasa's seems to be a tad smarter and a bit more of a planner than you, so it's a surprise you even escaped your world, and it troubles me he's let you roam this long in this one" this caused Gano to frown and an unsettling feeling to come over him "Thought about that myself, can't think of anything he could throw at me I couldn't handle though" Douglas looked out the window "I can't either...that's what worries me..."
JourneyMan Festival was a starring attraction and a hot ticket in town, it was an annual carnival that visited Venecia around this time of year: games, rides, musical performances, not to mention tents set up to try new cuisines abound. Not to mention, this year it happened to coincide with a certain girl celebrating winning first place in a talent show.
"Whoo!!Wee!!" Leslie's shrill scream filled the air twirling around with a stuffed bear Musera had won "Damn Musera, thought you were a singer not a slinger! Where'd you learn to shoot like that!?" Leslie's dad whistled, a drop of sweat appeared on Musera's forehead "Grew up in the country...I guess?"
Leslie's mother's eyes rolled "They can't teach that much in the county, didn't you learn to sing there too?" Musera eyes narrowed "Lots of things you can learn from the outside y'know" Leslie's father attempted to simmer things down, putting an arm around his wife "Alright dear" he walked off with Leslie's mother toward a concession stand"Let's get you something to eat dear, when ya' hungry you know you start acting a bit strange."
"Can't tell if she likes me or not" Musera and Leslie watched as they walked away "Think she does now...really didn't before...that talk must've helped" Musera squinted, eyeing Leslie "Very precocious for a child aren't we?" Leslie couldn't help from grinning wide "That's what mom said! You guys must really be twins!!" Musera stuck out her tongue making a face, Leslie did the same in return "Still, she has every right to be concerned, Leslie you've got to know I'm not from this wo-"
Leslie stood tip-toed and put a finger over Musera's mouth "A really smart man we were reading about in class, said it's not what color a person is or how tall they are...it's what's in your heart!! And I know you have a good one...I can tell when you sing!! You're voice always sounds kind of sad, but behind that sadness is something warm and I think that's cause you're very kind"
"Is that so?" Musera's felt light as feather and on cloud nine upon hearing Leslie's words "Glad you think so" they walked in step "So where next to?" Leslie pointed to a strong man competition "Uh Leslie, these don't really scream strong...and I"m not a man"
Flexing limp noodled arms, Leslie giggled in response "I know! This time I want to see you lose!!" Leslie pointed "It's no fun when you always win!" Musera exhaled "Well, guess that means I gotta do my best to win again" Musera muttered under her breath as they walked over to see if the hammer could swung hard enough to hit the bell.
