"Yuri! Seems you're around!!" Akurasa yelled "Don't tell me you're upset!" looking to his right down hall there she stood "Looking no worse for wear...or so you appear" he smirked "That was a warning shot with respect to our previous partnership, just know that the next few I end your life with for real" Akurasa snickered "Oh my, that boy took up that much space in your heart-who knew?"
Akurasa's face wrinkled and twisted in rage "No dear, don't do that to such a pretty face, it's unbecoming.." Mayuri took a deep breath "No matter what happens, your life won't be spared!" Blinking back tears, it took a moment for her to gain back focus, as her image distorted "Figures, you'd never be foolish enough to cross me in person "Don't want to get in range and be exposed to my friend's ability over here do you?"
"Let's be off, she's not that far away, but direct confrontation isn't her forte'" Akurasa helped up his associate as locked his apartment door "Party starts tomorrow and preparations must be made, that's why I sent Gano and his little crew on a wild goose chase so we could let loose.." Akurasa voice took on a chilly icy tone as he spoke his parting words "Of course, with other's lives in the line of fire, not much you can really do can you? Attaching yourself to those kids will be you're end..."
"Sorry about all that sage" Leslie's father apologized, Musera forced a smile "No it's fine, I think it's great Miss Priscilla blesses you all in such a way, it shows how much it means to her when you visit!" Leslie held Musera's hand tight, having just ate a big meal, after leaving her grandmother's they were on the way downtown to partake in some evening festivities "Now! Let's go to the fair!!"
Leslie threw hands in the air and cheered "Musera are you still good to go? You don't have to come with us downtown if you don't want to" Leslie's checked to make sure, Musera felt flustered with all eyes and attention on our and started blushing "Ah. no....it's fine...I'm enjoying you all's company" she answered, fumbling trying to find the right words.
'Isla's going to be so mad! I didn't even give a heads up I'd be home late today!' She thought, to herself, right on cue her phone started buzzing like crazy "Musera, is everything okay?"Leslie stood tippy-toed to whisper and ask "Don't worry Leslie, everything's fine" Musera put on a happy face to reassure her "Tonight's all about celebrate your victory over yourself today!!"
Musera squeezed Leslie's hand "Nothing fills me with more joy than you finding inner strength to share your wonderful voice with the world" Leslie beamed "It's all thanks to you.." Musera covered her mouth with her hands "Next time. Just do your hands like this instead of whispering Leslie" Musera instructed "I can cancel sound remember? Bending down is kind of hurting my back."
Leslie giggled "Is it cause of your chest, cause sometimes Mom says that messes with her back sometimes too" Musera turned red as tomato, steam shooting out of both ears "Leslie!! Don't make me tell your parents!!" Musera yelled "That's an inappropriate thing you said!" Musera fussed, prompting Leslie to giggle again "Dad!" Leslie laughed, taking off in a sprint as they got close to their car "I bet I can beat you!!"
"Not yet young lady! Not yet!!" Leslie's father took off, hoping to catch up"Peas in a pod those two" Leslie's mother observed with staying back "I see the resemblance" Musera nodded in agreement "Seems you to are kindred spirits, it's rare people with such a huge age gap form a connection" Leslie's mother continued "Something special about my little girl in particular?"
Leslie's mother inquired looking Musera up and won "I had no interest in taking any under my tutelage to be honest, I wouldn't say I was hiding but I didn't want to be found" Musera answered "Oh?" This piqued Leslie's mother's interest "Why do you say that?"
"Leslie's voice is a light that gives people light and deserves to shine, however a lack of confidence and fear that it'd turned into a shattered true that'd never come true caused it to be hid away-when I was a young a similar thing happened to me" Musera answered, Leslie's mother's posture relaxed "I see."
