Dragging him until he started to walk on his own, they took a shortcut through the parking lot back to he and Tess' car "Why Vencia?" Brook asked Douglas, Gano still seemed lost in thought-in no mood to talk "Cause of this" Douglas pulled out a recent article on his phone on the week of supernatural events that happened their lately "Friends of yours?"

Gano answered with a noncommittal shrug "Whose to say, way things are going maybe it's best I don't have friends anymore.." Brook and Douglas exchanged looks "Don't have time for your pity party, maybe that's what you believe, right now I need help saving Tess so however I feel can wait-where she stood was clear, and from how things look now it seems she understood a lot of things you don't."

It took no more than a second for Brook to hop in and start the car "Douglas take big boy seat, you ride shotgun, they say if you touch shoulders with negative energy it can be contagious" Douglas complied, sparing Gano a glance "I suppose you're right" he sighed, Gano hadn't uttered a word but still got in the backseat ready to ride along.

"Try to cheer up man, from the moment we've met you've given me courage and lit a fire in my heart that's helped me grow strong; I know where we're going has something to do with your past, just know whatever happens journey end-you'll always be someone I call friend" Douglas looked over at Brook hoping he had something to add "Don't do anything for me Gano, do it For Tess."

Having said what's on his heart, he put Venica into his GPS, weaving through traffic people blew their horns and they were almost stopped by an officer of the law-it seemed no matter what hurdle they crossed Brook wouldn't be stopped "Tess Hold on!" Brook squeezed past two cars as he slid back over as they got on the interstate "We're on our way!"

"Musera! Musera!!" Leslie  found her new friend even in a crowd "I won!! I won the talent show!" Musera beamed with pride, trying to lay low it was clear Leslie saw through her disguise "Don't worry" she pointed to her ear "I heard!" Leslie couldn't help from giggling and hugged Musera, catching her by surprise "Leslie is something wrong?"

Musera bent down to hug Leslie back "Nuh, just happy to see you again" This warmed Musera's heart "Glad to see you too" scanning their surroundings, canceling volume for everyone but them "Told you everything'd be fine...I just needed a little time." Two strangers walked up, putting Musera on high alert "It's fine!" Leslie looked up "Those are my parents!" feeling shy, she she took a sudden interest in the ground  "I..kind told them about you..."

Musera was at a loss for words, stomach tying itself in knots  'That's not good' Muse mused as  Leslie's father walked up and reached out his hand "Oh! You're Leslie's secret singing coach we've heard so much about!! Miss.....Musera I presume?" Musera shook his hand, scared to reply  "That's me" a nervous laugh escaped.

"We were going to pick up my mom and have a night on town to celebrate Leslie's big moment! We'd love if you'd join us!!"  Musera cursed everything and everyone soon as she caught sight of Leslie's face, she'd brought out all the works puppy dog eyes and pout in fell effect "Of course, It'd be a honor" Musera replied.

Leslie's mother had yet to speak, and some unsettled, none of this escaped Musera's eye "So how'd you two meet again?" Musera  almost swallowed her  tongue "Leslie already told you dear!" Leslie's father laughed, slapping his wife's back in jest "This one's a bit jealous, gets like that whenever anyone's spending time with our little girl but her!!"

Wallflower syndrome in full effect, Musera wished at that moment she could wilt away "Hey Muse, are you up to anything right now?" Leslie's father grilled  "Erm...not in particular..no." Leslie's father slung his arm around Musera's shoulder "Perfect then! Mom's house isn't too far from here! We can get a jump on the evening!"
