Class having just let out, students bumped and brushed past as Tess pushed against a sea of people trying to exit the building "Don't think I abandoned you friend! I"m so sorry!" Tess chocolate skin hid her blush 'Can't believe I said that out loud!"
Arriving at Room 303, she found her and Anessa's class "Anessa! Anessa!" door swinging open, no time wasted in making her presence known "Tess, how nice of you to join us" Anessa's eyes appeared soulless and empty as her and Professor Norell stood face to face "Ummmmmm...what's going on?" Noticing noses almost touching Tess' concern grew for her friend "'Ness...are you okay?"
Grin plastered on Professor Norell's face he took Anessa by hand, spinning her one-sixty, he rested one hand on her waist "Stop being creepy man!!" Tess sprinting over, attempting to break them "That's going a bit too far!" Trying to pry Anessa from Professor Norell's clutches, he pulled his back, slapping Tess to the floor "Not this time!!"
Letting Anessa go, who'd shown no resistance and hadn't uttered a single word, he took several steps until her towered over Tess "Hm, I wonder if I have two marionettes to play with? Will that be enough to lure out that friend of yours Gano and act as bait?"
Professor Norell's eyes were dark brown, however in that moment Tess could've sworn they were pitch black "Ho-ho-how do you know who Gano is?" Tess could feel trepidation squeeze her chest "Oh, interesting" Professor gaze locked with Tess' "Wanting to know how I know-"
He chuckled, Tess could feel mind's hold on reality start to slip "Feel my power tugging at your mind's strings, it's nothing you'll be able to soon without being under command so there's no harm in telling you how I know what I know!" hair sticking up on their skin for opposite reasons, Tess' volition was violated as Dr. Norell's power took affect.
"It's been way too long" Douglas checked time on his phone "Tess should've been back!" Pinching Gano's arm hard as he could, he jumped out his seat from being jolted awake "Huh! Who's there!? What happend??" Brook got out in mood for further discussion and made a mad dash into the building "Must be a feeling he has...that's some connection"
Douglas observed "Gano, Tess might be in trouble, she's been taking too long in there, we've got-" not even giving him time to finish Gano was right on Brook's tail as they ran in "Not again" Douglas struggled with his seatbelt, as he got out and did his best to follow behind "Times like this I hate not being in shape he grumbled, running in after, hoping with all his heart they wouldn't be too late.
"Nobody's here" Gano's mouth formed a thin line, as Brook inspected every inch and corner of the empty classroom "TESS!! TESS!!" he flipped over a desk, TESS!!" he swiped his hand across the teacher's knocking all the stuff left behind "C'mon! Maybe we can catch em'!!" he rushed out in a hurry "Gano, don't let him get too far" Gano nodded taking off after Brook "Catch him soon, we can't let afford to lose another."
"Brook slow down! Rushing in without thinking already has us down!!" Brook ignored him as he sprinted down hall, using the emergency exit he triggered a fire alarm as he burst through double doors to where teachers and staff park "TESSSSSSSSSSS!!" he let out an anguished scream "Brook are you looking for Tess?"
Ms. Brielle was an English professor who taught them freshman year, she was known for being kind, compassionate, and connecting with her students "Professor Noelle just left with Tess and Anessa- they were acting real strange....I was thinking about alerting the authorities. What's going?" Brook balled his fists "Nothing m'am....we..had a fight and I erased an assignment they were working by accident."
Ms. Brielle looked unconvinced "Is that so?" Studying Gano's face, he did his best to avert gaze "Brook" Ms. Brielle put a hand under his chin to lift up his head so she got a good look at his face "Now I love you and love Tess almost much as my own kids, if something's going on, tell me so I can help. If I find out later Imma be mad."
