Chanel's POV

Tonight was Ella's party and I wanted to keep my outfit for tonight as a surprise for Landon, so I left and went to Travis house to get ready with Valentina. She just got done straightening my hair and I sat in the mirror doing my makeup. Behind me in the mirror I noticed her doing a line of cocaine. "Vee can you do me a favor tonight?" She looked up at me and dusted her nose. "Keep drugs away from me as much as you can." I turned to face her. "I'm trying to get clean." I felt it was safe to tell her since I lasted this long. A smile blushed her cheeks. "I'm so proud of you Cee and I know your brother is too." She came over and kissed my forehead before heading into the bathroom.

I never really liked that compliment. How do you know my dead brother and father are proud of me, did they tell you? After I finished my makeup Valentina sat down to do hers. My outfit was a new one for me, straight out of Valentina's closet of course. It was a very colorful strapless dress that stopped at my thighs that I was planning on wearing with black heeled boots. I wore gold jewelry and when I stood in front of the mirror I felt like I was looking at a different person.

I hadn't seen myself with straight hair in a long time and last time I was dressed like this was at Travis's party. My hair straightened passed my ass. I parted my hair straight down the middle and left it as was. A knock was laid on the door and when I opened it, Travis's sister, Tina was waiting behind the door. "Are you guys ready, we're officially an hour late so I'm sure it started." She said waving her keys at us. I put on my shoes and Valentina slipped into her long dress as we followed Tina out to her car.

By the time we got to Ella's house it was eleven thirty. The only lights were flashing colorful lights from inside and the backyard. Lots of movement form inside as we knocked and waited for the door to open. As we waited Valentina helped pull my dress down in the back. When the door swung open the music from inside poured out. Not only the sound but the smell of alcohol and weed poured out too. I walked in and immediately was separated from the others which was fine because I was looking for one person.

As I pushed through to the kitchen I found Ella. She was talking to two other girls as she poured herself a drink. Once she spotted me she was quite happy. "Chanel, I knew you wouldn't miss this." She said walking over, she ran her hand through my hair and looked amazed. "I saw someone asking for you, Ruby." My heart skipped a beat when I heard her name. "Did you see Landon by any chance?" I asked her and she shook her head. "But Ruby is getting her ear pierced upstairs." She shrugged.

"Someone brought a needle." She winked but before she could finish talking I went upstairs. I found Ruby exactly where they said she would be. She shut her eyes and when I called out to her she didn't hear me over the music. So I waited until they pierced her ear. She didn't have much of a reaction but when her eyes opened she saw me and gasped. "Oh beautiful you look beautiful." I smiled a wide smile and hugged her tight. "Are we trusting people with dirty needles now?" I asked loudly enough for her to hear. "Take a shot or two and I promise you wouldn't care. Plus I think you'd look good with a septum." I rolled my eyes and tried to not let her push me into that. Ruby had the biggest influence on me and if she said something I knew would happen. I took a seat with her and waited as I don't think Landon is here yet.
