'Okay I'm gonna say this straight up.' Anna walks into my house.
'What is up with you?' I laugh.
'You need to take a test. You look... like a ghost.' Anna looks at me with a panicked look on her face.
'A what?' I widen my eyes.
'A test, Pat.' Anna repeats herself.
'A test for what?' I ask.
'A pregnancy test. This ain't normal.' Anna explains.
'Yeah um absolutely not.' I chuckle.
Anna shoots me an 'are you serious' look.
'Yeah no.' I laugh.
'You have to. At least, you'll find out if it is or it isn't. And if it comes back negative, then you can go to the doctor to find out what's going on.' Anna speaks.
'Anna, it's probably just a stomach bug honestly. Don't stress.' I roll my eyes.
'Okay look, we'll go buy a test. Take it. And then see what happens okay? Can you do that for me?' Anna puts her hands in mine.
'Oh my god. Okay fine. And you'll see I'm not. This is crazy.' I get up from the couch and throw a little bit of makeup on, and change into something better.

In the Shop: 'This one?' I pick up a clear blue pregnancy test.
'Yeah that's the best one. I've heard.' Anna nods.
'Alright come on.' I grab the box and head towards the cashier.
'Just this?' the cashier asks.
'Yep.' I smile and unzip my bag.
'Alright that will be €9.06. Will you be paying cash or card?' the cashier asks.
'Cash please.' I take out ten euros.
'Thank you. Here you go. Your change. Have a good day.' the cashier smiles and hands me the change.
'Thank you. You too.' the cashier smiles.
'I don't know why I did this.' I laugh, while stepping out of the shop.
'Better to be safe than sorry.' Anna shrugs.

Patricia's House: 'Come on. Make your way to the bathroom. Come on.' Anna pushes me into the house.
'Okay okay I am. Jeez.' I roll my eyes and head towards the toilet.

'How long do we wait?' I ask Anna.
'It says thirty to sixty seconds so yeah.' I nod and hold the test in my hand.
'Perfect.' Anna sits down and shuffles around.
A minute had passed and nothing was happening to the test, and Anna grabbed it for me and held it in her hand.

'Oh my god.' Anna drops the pregnancy test and covers her mouth.
'Oh god what?' I look at Anna with a worried look on my face.
Anna says nothing, and I can see tears forming into her eyes.
I pick up the pregnancy test from the floor and stare at it.
