Kayla's POV
After LGBTQ I walked out of the classroom.

"Hey Kayla." I hear Bella say.
I turn around. "Yes?" I ask.
"Want to hang out?" She asks.
"Yeah sure how about we go to my place?" I suggest.
"Okay great." She replies.

We get to my house. My Mom and Dad are working. We walk up to my room and put down our bags.

"I texted my Mom letting her know I'm here." Bella says.
"If anything you live right across the street. And I'm pretty sure this is the first place they would look." I say.
"Yeah, that is true." She replies.

Just then I get a phone call from my Dad.

"Hello?" I answer.
"Hey Kayla." He says.
"What's up?" I ask.
"What are you doing right now?" He asks.
"I'm in my room with Bella." I reply.
"Well Straub and Bee are coming to pick you guys up. Go to the door and be ready in 5 minutes." He says.
"Why? Where are we going?" I ask.
"Straub and Bee will explain just get ready." He says.

I hang up.

"What was that?" Bella asks.
"Well my Dad called. He sounded weird. He said your parents are picking us up in 5 minutes." I say.
"Why?" She asks.
"I don't know. Your parents will explain apparently." I reply.

We go downstairs and wait for the car to pull in. We soon see it and go outside and hop in. Straub starts driving.

"So what's going on?" I ask.

There is silence for a while.

"Kayla, your Mother is in the hospital. She got in a car crash with your father." She says.
"What!?" I say.
