NATASHA'S POV
We've been back from destroying the Red Room for 3 months and Y/n is just out of her last surgery on her arm. There was nerve damage which ended up affecting her hand movement so she's had a couple of surgeries to try and repair it.
- Natasha : How is she?
- Bruce : She's fine. Things looks great, she should get full sensation back in her fingers. Are you okay?
- Yelena : She was sweating buckets. It was funny
- Natasha : I just worked out
- Yelena : Sureee
- Maria : How is she?
- Natasha : Apparently she should get full sensation in her fingers
- Maria : Phew
Y/n has been getting frustrated with limited sensation in her fingers, she can't turn the pages of her books, do the zip up on her jeans or do up her bra.
- Bruce : The anaesthetic should wear off soon
- Natasha : Hey Detka. Things went well
- Yelena : She can't hear you dipshit
- Natasha : You don't know that. I bought you some flowers Y/n/n, they're on your left
- Sam : Never say that phrase again
- Natasha : Why are we having a meeting in Y/n's hospital room? She's literally unconscious
- Peter : Everyone wants to see Y/n when she wakes up
- y/n : Everyone can fuck off
- Natasha : What can I get you detka?
- y/n : Privacy
- Natasha : You heard the lady, everyone out
Y/n always has a headache when she wakes up after surgery. It's something about the lighting and the anaesthetic wearing off.
- Natasha : I missed you
- y/n : Mhm
- Natasha : What's up detka?
- y/n : Nothing. I just feel ill. Mind getting me a bowl?
- Natasha : Here you go
- y/n : Now, in the nicest way possible, please leave so I can throw up without you seeing
- Natasha : No. Just get it up detka
I hate puking. Everyone does, but Y/n has a fear of puking. She does everything to avoid it normally so I can't leave her side when she's facing one of her biggest fears. It doesn't help that she's been throwing up a lot recently. I've stopped going on missions to be around when she pukes.
- y/n : Tasha
- Natasha : I've got you
- y/n : I hate it
- Natasha : I know. No one likes it. Let me get you a toothbrush
- y/n : Thank you
- Natasha : Bruce says you should get full sensation and movement back
- y/n : Good
- Natasha : Not that I don't enjoy helping you get dressed in the morning
- y/n : Perv
- Natasha : Hmm
There's been a lot going on so getting this moment for just us is special.
YOUR POV
I feel rough. I know I needed the surgery, I need to have full function of my arm if I want to go on missions.
- y/n : Where's Bruce?
- Bruce : Let me talk, don't interrupt me please. It is very likely you'll regain full function of your arm. We've kept scarring to a minimum on top of the burn scars. There were no complications during the surgery and you should be fully recovered in 3-6 months. T-
- y/n : That's good. How's-
- Bruce : I said don't interrupt me. The baby is okay. He or she had a steady heartbeat the whole surgery and is currently hooked up on that monitor
- Natasha : Thank you Bruce
- Bruce : No problem ladies
I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant. Me and Nat decided we were ready and that's one of the reasons I had the surgery now. It means I won't be recovering while we have children. The real-ness of bringing down the Red Room also made me very aware that we only live once and I want to spend as much time as possible with the ones I love.
- Natasha : When do you want to tell everyone?
- y/n : I don't. I like our little secret
- Natasha : Our's and Bruce's and Tony's and Doctor Cho's and Wanda's
- y/n : Wanda read my mind and I felt bad telling her she kept giving me food poisoning
- Wanda : Heyyy. How are you all?
Wanda is pretty involved with the pregnancy. She's checking up on me and Nat a lot. Me because of the whole morning sickness thing and Nat because of the reality of her being a parent getting closer.
- Natasha : We're all good
- Wanda : Y/n?
- y/n : I threw up but I feel okay aside from that
- Wanda : And your arm?
- y/n : Should get all sensation and movement back
- Wanda : Good
- Tony : Right, I've hurried up construction on the house, deadline is in a week so you guys can start moving in as from next week
- y/n : You didn't have to hurry them
- Tony : Well you need to be settled before the baby comes
- Natasha : Keep your voice down Stark. It's our choice when we tell the rest of the team
Tony can't keep secrets but I'd say he's doing pretty well with keeping the pregnancy a secret. He made us sit down with him to pick out furniture for the whole house and the nursery.
- Tony : Are you two planning on finding out the gender? Tony sounds good for a boy
- y/n : I'm not naming my kid Tony
- Wanda : Imagine. Look at sweet baby Tony. Sorry but that's funny
- Natasha : We've not talked names yet. We've gone for a neutral themed nursery so we can use it for all of our kids and then convert it to the youngest kids room when we're done having kids
- Wanda : Smart
- y/n : The next 31 weeks can't go quick enough. I just want the baby to be here
- Natasha : Not too quickly though. We still need time to prepare
- y/n : Yeah, that too
- Bruce : Y/n needs to rest. Out Wanda, Tony
- Wanda : Call me if you need anything. Goodnight
- Tony : I paid for this building but okay. See ya
- y/n : Bye guys. I'm so tired
- Natasha : Go to sleep detka. I'll be here when you wake up
- y/n : Night night Tasha
- Natasha : Goodnight detka
