Emu's POV:

I skipped to the living room, where my Aunt Lin sat on the couch.

"Emu, can you help me with the computer? It froze again" she laughed, embarrassed in her situation

I sighed and giggled, taking a seat on the cushions beside her. Taking the computer from her, I pressed a few keys and unfroze the screen, reminding the other lady of how to do it, again.

"Thank you dear, this new computer is so confusing" She thanked as she resumed her work

"Of course, but seriously you really need to read the instructions or look up videos, I'm not here forever you know" I laughed, and the older lady rolled her eyes

"I'll figure it out, I'm not that old" she said flatly, although we both started laughing

A moment later Nene came out into the living room, shoving something into her sweater pocket.

"Nene!" I smiled, getting up and dragging her down to sit with us

"Hi" she said, grabbing my hand and waving at Aunt Lin with the other

"Are you girls hungry? I could prepare some lunch" Lin offered

"That sounds nice, could you?" My girlfriend asked

"Of course," she grinned, turning to me "Emu? Hungry?"

I nodded and the older woman walked off to the kitchen.

"Nene, let's go outside!" I said, standing up and leading her to the back door.

The backyard was beautiful, it overlooked the ocean and all you could see was beautiful blue for miles on end. The yard itself had flower gardens and well kept grass, perfect for sitting or playing outside.

We sat down on the outdoor bench, hand in hand. The calls of birds echoed around us, and the crashing of waves could be heard on the shore below.

"Hey Emu," Nene started, and I focused my attention on her "I want to tell you something"

Nene's POV:

The butterflies in my stomach grew, it was becoming unbearable, and it didn't help that my face was practically on fire.

"What is it?" The other asked, her gorgeous pink hair swaying in the light breeze. I reached into my pocket and double checked that the small box was there. I took a deep breathe before I started speaking.

"Um...so, I want you to know I love you. A lot. I love you a lot. I know that on the day we first met I was shy, and I pushed you away, and I feel terrible. But despite my attitude, you still did everything you could to make me smile, and even now you still do. You're kind, and caring, compassionate, lovable, amazing, funny, beautiful, and you're my favorite person in the whole world" I paused, taking a breath, Emu's face was a pink as her hair "We've been dating for almost 4 years now, and if it's alright with you, I'd like to take it to the next level"

I pulled out the box from my pocket, opening it to present the diamond studded ring in the center

"Emu Otori, will you marry me?" I smiled

The pinkettes eyes watered, a smile spreading across her face. She nodded and jumped into my arms

"Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes! Yes 100 times! I love you too Nene, I would love to marry you" she cried as I wrapped my arms around her, kissing her head. Hot tears began streaming down my face.

We sat like that for a minute longer before she pulled away. I took her hand and grabbed the ring from the box, placing it on her finger. It slid on perfectly.

"I love you Nene, thank you" she smiled again

"I love you to, Emu" I grinned as I kissed her

The two of us both jumped however when we heard a voice from the doorway.

"Oh! Girls I'm so happy for you!" Lin beamed, clapping her hands together joyfully

"Thanks Auntie" Emu sniffled happily

"Thank you, Lin" I said

The older woman nodded, wiping a tear from her eye and taking a deep breath.

"Lunch is ready and on the table, take your time coming in" she smiled as she headed back in.

The two of us sat together for a while longer, before deciding to head in for lunch, giving a quick kiss before opening the door.

'Thank you, Emu, I love you' I thought as I sat down to eat

I honestly kinda surprised myself with this chapter, I was just going to write a normal fluff but at the last second I thought to myself

'What if they got married?' And now here we are

Idk if I'm gonna write an actual wedding chapter, but if you guys want I will, although it'll be at the end of the book after a time skip or something

Anyways, I know this wasn't planned and you all had no idea, but it's fun to pull those cards
