"Stay with me." He pleads, his grip on her body tightening. "I need you.. please stay with me."

He shifts slightly, pulling her right up to his chest. Ghost uses his hand to tilt her head back. Her soft lips are parted and he can feel her weakening breaths against his cheek.

"I... I.. killed him." Her lips barely move as she speaks.

"It's okay.. it's okay." Ghost repeats. A tear drops from his eyes, landing on her cheek and diluting the blood on her skin. "It's okay Bambi.."

He watches as her eyes shift and look straight into his. Her beautiful eyes. The windows to her wonderful soul. He loved them so so much. A stabbing pain goes through his heart when he sees how they roll back into her head. Ghost hugs her as tight as he can, hoping that maybe, just maybe, this isn't the end. He feels her body relax and her head tilts against his chest.

"I love you." He can barely get the words out. "I'm so sorry.." Ghost kisses her head. Her beautiful hair smells of flowery shampoo and blood.

An array of footsteps make their way up the stairs.

"Third floor!" Ghost shouts, then he whispers to Y/n. "They're coming, you'll be okay."

The team makes their way past the man laying on the stairs. Soap is the first one to see the scene. His eyes widen as he sees just how badly hurt Y/n is. There's blood everywhere and her skin is pale. But what scares him the most is seeing the expression in Ghost's eyes. He's never seen him so devastated and distressed. Ghost is covered in blood and holding onto Y/n as hard as he can. Shit, this is bad.

"We have to carry her down." His voice sounds like nothing it's ever before. It's broken and hollow.

Soap gets down next to Ghost, and he presses his hands down hard on the compress over the wound. König is right behind him and grabs her legs while Ghost makes sure to get a good hold of her upper body. Then they all lift her up. Keegan has pulled the dead man down the stairs, making it easier to get past with Y/n.

Price is trying desperately to get a helicopter sent out. He's already sent Alejandro and Rudy running back to one of the Jeeps to then drive as close to the location as possible. It will only shorten the time until they have Y/n at a hospital by a few minutes, but it could save her life.

They carry her down the stairs, barely speaking. The seriousness of the situation has made everyone on edge and no one even dares to think of anything to say. The only focus now is to get her out of here and to a hospital. When they get out of the building, they head for the large gates of the premises. There's a trail of blood on the sandy ground after them.

After walking along the gravel road for a few minutes, they see the Jeep approaching. It throws sand and dust into a cloud around it, and gravel shoots in all directions when they hit the brakes. While Ghost, Soap, and König carry her, the others empty the back of the Jeep. They lay Y/n down. Ghost and Soap get situated right next to her, Soap pressing on the dressing and Ghost checking her breathing and pulse. Alejandro and Rudy don't get into the car, they stay back to destroy the documents that they hadn't found yet and then later take the other Jeep back.

Price presses down the gas and the car speeds off along the bumpy road. Ghost feels how Y/n's breathing has started to diminish by the second, and he can barely feel her pulse. He lays her head down, placing a bag under it to hopefully lessen the impact when her head hits the floor as the car jumps. Then he starts chest compressions. It won't get her to wake up, but it will circulate the small amounts of oxygenated blood she has left to her brain and hopefully keep it from dying. He feels jagged shivers down his spine when he hears how her ribs crack under the pressure of his hands. It's brutal. He has to hurt her to even have a chance of keeping her alive. Soap asks him multiple times if he needs to take a break and switch tasks, but Ghost keeps pushing down on her chest, with his shirt clinging to his sweaty body. He will not stop.
