You round the corner of the building, looking all around you, trying to spot enemies. Ghost has taken the lead and guides you around the terrain. Both of you crouching down, trying to be as quiet as possible, him being miles better than you at it. You make your way to a doorway and Ghost makes sure it's clear before the two of you move in. You can hear the gunfire outside, it scares you as you have never been this close to a real gunfight. Soap, Keegan, and Price were outside, making sure the enemy was distracted enough for you and Ghost to succeed with the plan. This is the largest building on the property, a large hangar, the most likely place for the cartel to store tons of chemical weapons. The room you now stand in is the lowest point of a stairwell, there is a door to your right with a window in it. Ghost moves over to the stairs, making sure no one is waiting to attack. You look through the window in the door, and that's when you see it. Crates stacked on crates with yellow stickers on them, triangles with skulls, dangerous chemicals. You manage to spot another sticker on the crate closest to the door. It has a code on it, 'GKM-7312'. You grab the inventory list you printed out from your back pocket, and look it up and down. There. 'GKM-7312'.

"Ghost, they are here." you say as you push down the door handle. Ghost quickly turns around as you open the door. A deafening alarm sounds but it doesn't drown out his growl.

"Are you fucking suicidal!?" he screams at you. You turn to him just as he gets close to you, grabbing you by your vest and shoving you up against the wall next to the door. You feel pain shooting through your back and you let out a whine. You look into his eyes, a red hot fire burning in them, surrounded by skin covered with black paint.

"You are hurting me!" You exclaim, trying to wriggle yourself out of his grip. You hear loud footsteps making their way down the stairs.

"Fuck." Ghost grunts, letting go of you. You fall down to your knees. Ghost turns his attention to the stairs, aiming his gun, ready to fire whenever. You are trying to catch your breath, hearing your heartbeat in your throat.

"What happened!?" you hear Price screaming over the comms. Then you see someone rounding the corner of the doorway, coming into the room. He is not one of yours. You scream as you see the man aiming his gun at you. After a loud bang, he falls to the ground. Then you hear a bang and a grunt. It's Ghost. You cover your ears and close your eyes, praying to whoever runs the universe to please take you back home. Back to your warm bed, not at the base, at home. You hear two more shots, more muffled because of you covering your ears. You feel a hand on your shoulder and you don't dare to open your eyes. Then you feel a large hand gripping your jaw.

"Fucking look at me." You open your eyes and meet Ghost's eyes. "Plant the bomb. NOW!" He lets go of your face. Shocked and with your hands shaking you take off your backpack, open it and pull out the device, then you throw it into the room with the crates.

"Lieutenant, answer me!" Price is screaming and you can hear the stress in his voice over the radio.

"I'm hit. L/n is fine."

"Get out of there, now!" Ghost reaches his hand out to you and you grab it, getting pulled up to your feet by him.

"Follow me." You do as you're told, not daring to do anything else. Ghost guides you around the edge of the base, making your way toward the meeting point. You can hear him grunt from time to time, you start to wonder where he was hit. As you round a small shed you finally see the Jeeps. Soap, Keegan, and Price already sitting in one of them. Ghost motions with his hand for them to start driving as you close the distance between you two and the other car. They start to speed off. Suddenly you feel an arm wrapping around your throat and you grasp for air. You get pulled backward, having to try hard not to fall over as a barrel is placed against your temple. Ghost turns around, and just as quickly as that arm wrapped itself around your throat, you fall over as the body falls to the ground, blood staining your face. He lunges over, helping you up on your feet once again. You sprint the last 30 feet to the car trying to keep your head low and your frame small. Both of you jump into the car and you barely have time to close the door before Ghost steps on the gas, making the car accelerate, sending you backward in your seat.
