The flight to Russia went well. You talked a lot with Soap and Keegan. This was your first time in Europe, while they had been in several countries before during their missions. It took all weekend to get to the destination. It was a safe-house out in the middle of nowhere in a large forest. There was thick snow covering the ground and it almost reached up to your knees. Price had mentioned the temperature was just below zero.

"You will have to get used to treading through all this snow" Price says as everyone is carrying their bags to the house.

"Will there be this much snow at the site?" Soap says. He has been whining for the past couple of feet of walking.

"Yes. We will park the cars far away and then make our way on foot." You can hear Soap sigh loudly. It makes you giggle slightly.

Finally, you get inside the house and Soap runs to pick the best room. This house is larger than the one in Mexico. It has one room each for everyone and the kitchen and living room are separate. You pick the only room that isn't sharing a corridor with the others, the door instead connecting with the living room, and you start to pack up your stuff. Price walks into everyone's room, handing them new gear, with camo that matches the Russian environment more, it will be important to blend in for the upcoming mission. He gives everyone a quick round tour of the house. There is a basement with some work-out equipment, Keegan suggests you two should train a bit in there before the mission in a few days. You agree.

Later that day everyone is out having a huge snowball fight, well, everyone except Ghost. He spends most of the days before the mission in his room, not really having the opportunity for long walks in the Russian November weather.

On the day of the mission, you and Keegan get into one car, and Soap, Price, and Ghost get into another one. Everyone will park 2 miles from the location and then walk to it. The plan is to surround a building, entering it from two different entrances. Inside is the office of a man, the leader of a large, worldwide, human trafficking organization. He has been hunted for years and there has been recent confirmation that he had returned to Russia after being off the radar since two years back. Your objective is to kill him and interrogate whoever else resides within the premises.

After walking for close to two hours, the snow slowing you down significantly, you can start to make out the shape of the large building. Price asks for confirmation that everyone is within the correct distance from it. After everyone has confirmed they are ready to go, he gives you the clear to proceed with the plan.

You and Keegan make your way closer and closer to the building, making sure to lay low and make as little sound as possible. The new camo gear is working well, making it hard for you to tell where Keegan is at times. Finally, you get to the back door, everything is looking good so far. You whisper over your comms.

"At the back door, waiting for the signal to enter." Just as you say this you hear a shot go off. You quickly turn your head towards Keegan, him turning to you and mouthing the words 'What the fuck was that?'. You hear people running inside the building and more shots being fired, accompanied by screams.

"Everyone retreat, they knew we were coming. I repeat, everyone retreat to the cars, now!" Price says over the radio. It seems as if the enemies haven't yet discovered you and Keegan behind the house, so you decide to make as little noise as possible as you retreat. You know Ghost is situated on a hill, out of sight for the enemy with his white gear, but able to shoot every single one of them with his sniper rifle while you others retreat. You and Keegan walk low to the ground at first. But the further you get from the gunfire the safer and more relaxed you get, still with quite a fast heartbeat.

You walk through the forest, still aware that there might be enemies searching for you, especially since they somehow were aware you would be coming. On your way to the site, you had to walk very close to the edge of a cliff, a 25-foot drop on your left side. As you get closer to this part, Keegan walks in front of you instead of at your side. The ground is quite slippery, being part of a now-frozen cascade. As you make your way across you suddenly feel your boots slipping out from under you. You notice a tree root right above your head and you try to grab a hold of it, but it breaks. You fall backward and as you yelp out of shock, Keegan turns to you, trying to reach his hand out, but it's too far away. You feel yourself tumbling backward and hitting the icy ground. You slide on your back until you reach the next drop, this one being 30 feet. You manage to turn around slightly, but it doesn't help. Rather, it makes you fall face first down this second fall. You see the ground quickly approaching and then you slam into the snow-covered ground, letting out groans of pain. You feel a shortness of breath, having landed straight on your chest and with your hands not having provided much support.
