"We have estimated that the others will return in 2 days if nothing unexpected occurs during their scouting." Cloe, one of our beautiful advisers said.

Advisers are smart people in the Colony who excel in Science and Math. There are 2 others under her in the command chain Niki and Kiko.

Cloe is also part of the 6 generals group I made up to maintain order.

Cloe, leader of the colonies' "brain" team.

Brett, leader of the expedition team, is among those who went and surveyed the area.

Arkon, leader of the colony guards.

Aya is like the mother of the colony who manages everything health-related.

Clancy, training the untrained teens 13-20 yrs old, so like the leader of the kids... Well, he was also helping fix the radio so.. let's let him cook.

and lastly...

Chrissy, who before the outbreak, was a singer-influencer and now is in charge of entertainment like conducting small concerts inside a house that is not too loud... horrific, right?

"Thank you for the help, Cloe." I sincerely thanked her. Cloe then left the room and I was again left alone, staring at my gun.

I re-assembled the gun after cleaning it and hid it under the desk's compartment.

I decided that I was bored staring at a wooden wall and left the room to look around and help.

I helped the others take care of the crops we planted just a few days ago.

That was that for a few days, nothing eventful at all.

2 days later..

Today is the day the others were to return and some of us stood on the walls waiting for their arrival.

A few hours passed and they finally came back. The gate was raised and the arrivals entered the walls.

"Did you miss me?" Brett asked upon laying his eyes on mine. I embraced Brett in a tight hug which made him chuckle. "Judging from the hug.. yeah.." he added.

I regained my composure and stood up like nothing happened. Once again, I was able to embarrass myself in front of him. Jeez.

"I missed you too, Y/N." his smile made me flutter.

"Chop, chop kids. We have work to do!" Arkon yelled, obviously meant for Brett and I.

I guided the expedition group back to the main house/HQ and offered them seats. I went to the kitchen and served them cold drinking water.

We.. there is no soda, unfortunately.

"So, found anything?" I asked. It was the main purpose of that trip. To find any information about who we are dealing with.

"Yes, we found some people with guns who seemed to be guarding something inside the Hospital." The man in glasses named Watson addressed.

"So, safe to say that the base we are looking for is the Hospital?" I asked them.

"That is a no." Brett replied. "There seem to be working SUVs being used by them to transport things. There is a chance that the Hospital is just one of their many bases." Watson added.

"How far is the Hospital from our other base?" I curiously asked. "About a 45-minute walk." Jasper vocalized to the group.

Risky… if they use an SUV it would take an exponentially shorter time.

"What's your call, Y/N?" Arkon asked. "The 7 of us make a vote. Call Clancy and the other "generals" to come over." I ordered Arkon.

Moments passed…

The sun was setting as they arrived. "You guys know why I called you, right?" I asked.

"Arkon already told us.. more or less, yes." Clancy said

"Hands up if you agree to raid the Hospital." a total of 4 people raised their hands along with me.

Well, that was fast.

"The day after tomorrow, Clancy, Arkon and I will tag along with the expedition team and infiltrate the Hospital. Aya will stay here and take care of everyone." I uttered.

"For now, get ready and Goodnight… you are all dismissed." I added on. Everyone went to their homes and slept.

We rested, to be ready for the days to come.
