The next morning. Cross has mostly healed and he limps a little.
“InK yOu Up.” I ask. Gently shaking him. I swear if I have to kiss him to wake him up I won't be happy.
“Yeah, do you need anything?” Ink said looking over.
“WeLl I wAs ThInKiNg ThAt We Go FoR a WaLk Or SoMeThInG.” I told him.
“Really?” Ink’s eyes lit up like a christmas tree.
“Heck Ya” Ink rolls off the bed by accident. I laugh watching him fail to work.
“Owww” Ink said, shaking off his fall. “That hurt”
“OoP wElL fAlLiNg HuRtS.” I say, playfully. I help him up and head over to the closet to get ready.
“InK I’m GoInG tO tAkE a ShOwEr.” I said before disappearing into the bathroom.
“Ok, “ Ink said. “See you in 10 mins then!” Ink said, flopping on the bed.
“O-kAy…” I say. I already started the shower waiting for it to warm up. After a little while. I go in.
“Time to gooooooooo” Ink said 10 minutes later.
“YeAh. YeAh. YeAh.” I say while coming out of the bathroom.
“ReAdY!” I ask while grabbing my hoodie. I also grabbed the phone.
“Yup,” Ink said, grabbing chocolate.
“GiVe Me ThAt.” I say snatching the chocolate bar from Ink. I go to the cabinet to grab some of Ink’s vials as well. Ink looks at me with a sad face.
“FiNe….” I say. Giving him a piece of the chocolate.
“Nummy” Ink said munching on it waiting at the door
“LeT’s Go..” I say grabbing Ink and teleporting. I teleport outside. We look around for a moment then start walking. Ink skipped off towards the river.
“Let’s follow it,” He said, grabbing my arm.
“AlRiGhT wHy NoT.” I say chasing after him. It was cold out but it felt nice so I didn’t care. Ink froze and dropped down low to the ground.
“InK!?” I yell running towards him.
“SSSSSSHHHHHH” Ink said, pulling me down next to him and pointing ahead.
“Huh…” I whisper quietly looking around. Then I see them.
“Humans…….a few feet away” Ink whispered.
“NoT jUsT a FeW... EiGhT….” I say while tensing.
“ThEiR cOnStAnTlY gEtTiNg CloSeR tO hOmE…” I murmur frustrated.
“We can’t let them hurt anyone else…….” Ink said quietly
“AlRiGhT…” I sigh, my eyes glowing dully.
“SKELETONS!” The humans pointed and yelled. The Eight Humans turned to look at us
“DaMn It…” I freeze, trying to figure out the leader of them.
“We aren’t planning an attack” Ink said, getting up to their view.
“You were near where we were walking………” Ink said hands were in view.
“InK…” I hissed.
“WhAt ArE yOu DoInG…” I was fidgeting.
“Trust me…..” Ink whispered.
“Slip into the ink and get Nightmare to bring help ok?” Ink looked at me.
“There was another one.” Another human pointed out.
“I cAn’T lEaVe YoU aLoNe…” I say tears streaming.
“Do you trust me?” Ink asked quietly. I nod and teleport to Nightmare.
