My heart was beating against my chest really hard as Miss Jeon and I quickly wheeled the metal table back into Jung Haru's room and made sure the door was locked. All the curtains are drawn closed and the only light that are on are the nightstand lamps
"Did you see what I was seeing or am I losing my mind?" I asked Miss Jeon, considering my mental state wasn't the best for the past two months, I'm really doubting my vision
"No I saw her eyes open. Her eyes were open" Miss Jeon said as we slowly pulled back the white sheet to uncover her face and my heart stopped as I made direct eye contact with Haru
She was indeed awake
"Mi-Miss Haru? Can you hear me?" I asked, but there was no response
"Okay lets transfer her back to her bed and call Doctor Park" Miss Jeon said. We transferred her back to her bed and throughout the process she was not moving. Nothing. not even her fingers, only her eyes were moving. Miss Jeon went to call Doctor Park and I started setting her back to the heart monitor. Thankfully she was stable
I looked at her and she seemed to be spaced out "Miss Haru?" I called out but she didn't look at me. I tried one more time but still no response. I leaned forward and held her hand, that when she looked at me.
"Is everything okay? Are you in any pain?" I asked but nothing. I took my light pen and checked her eyes, thankfully her pupils decreased in size as normal. She was not moving except for her eyes and she was fully conscious.
That means one thing but still I wasn't sure
When Doctor Park and Miss Jeon came in her body flinched as they came into her sight and I felt her grip tighten on my hand
That's when my theory was confirmed
"Is everything okay?" Doctor Park said as he approached the bed "What happened?"
"We finished the MRI and took her out of the machine to see her eyes open" I explained
"Did she talk? Is she in any pain?" he asked
"No. nothing. Only her eyes would move and when you came in she flinched a bit and her hand tightened around mine" I said
"What about her vitals? It looks all good" Doctor Park said
"It seems like she is in a vegetative state" I said "she is conscious but only has her basic reflexes"

"Miss Haru, if you can hear me please squeeze my hand" I said, and she was still staring at Doctor Park and Miss Jeon. I placed my hand on her shoulder, gaining her attention. I repeated myself and she just looked at my lips move, but she didn't squeeze my hand
