seokmin groaned as he rubbed his face, slamming his hand on his alarm clock who was blaring as if it was screaming bloody murder to silence it. listening to that thing every morning made seokmin always question why the hell he bought an extra loud alarm clock.
the only benefit of it is that he always wakes up without fail, but there are some mornings when he just wishes that wasn't the case. when he was doing his internship and repeating part of high school as part of his undercover assignment to find a test subject, he barely got any sleep from the amount of work he had to do each day. even when he was only doing the internship he was insanely busy, spending so many of his waking hours there in the lab with professor wen and minghao. seokmin didn't know how the hell he even did school in addition to it honestly.
seokmin huffed as he forced himself to roll out of bed, immediately cringing slightly as he left the warmth of his bed. his ac was blasting, so it was quite cold.
seokmin grabbed a hoodie that was hanging on his desk chair, sliding it on so he wouldn't be freezing while he was going through his morning routine. he trudged out of his room, stopping when he saw that there was a figure laying on his couch.
oh, right.
last night, after seokmin asked the lizard boy, dino, to come in, he got him some food, let him take a shower, and told him he could stay the night. the two talked for a while before they went to sleep, seokmin asking him a lot of questions about what happened to him and how he felt. seokmin promised him that when he went to wencorp the next day he would try and see if he could find anything that might be able to help him.
it was easier said than done.
seokmin didn't know if he'd even be able to help. he was only just an intern after all, he didn't have the knowledge or power of someone like professor wen, and he knew that it'd be very likely that he'd fail, but he knew he had to try.
seokmin did briefly consider bringing dino to wencorp and seeing if professor wen could directly examine him, but after what happened to joshua, he just couldn't. he doesn't think he could have something else like that weighing on his conscience.
seokmin knew that he did have to be really careful about this. from the discussions they had last night, seokmin could tell that the chan part of dino was someone he didn't have to fear. chan was just a scared boy that had something unfortunate happen to him. he posed absolutely no threat to him.
