minghao watched as the last group of students in the lobby went off to go on their tour. he's been watching all of the students, looking for a specific person amongst the teens.
"i didn't see him, professor, but seokmin should've been here somewhere."
professor wen sighed. "i sure hope so... and he better have brought the potential test subject," he rubbed his hands in anticipation, "i'm so excited to meet him so we could take our experimentation to the next step."
"me too professor," minghao shoved his hands into his pockets, "i actually think i met the potential subject last week."
the professor raised an eyebrow. "really now? when?"
"i went to go visit seokmin's school because he and i were going to come to work together and... i saw a blind boy sitting outside on a bench. i believe it was the potential subject."
"do you think he was a suitable candidate for the experiments?"
"i believe so," minghao nodded, "he seemed like he would be perfect for them."

well, the horror i had watching that was the exact same horror vernon was feeling as he watched the spider jump off his hand and scuttle away.
vernon stared at the freshly red bite on his hand, its bright color mocking him as his heart began to race. he began to feel a bit woozy (not the seventeen member lmao) as he stumbled back.
this wasn't good.
no shit sherlock. it's probably never good to get bitten by a spider you've never seen before.
vernon didn't know what to do and began to nervously laugh even though the situation was far from funny. he brought his hand up closer to his face, observing the bite even closer.
"maybe, i'll get superpowers just like spiderman," vernon laughed dryly, "i mean, peter started with a spider bite too."
if only he knew.
vernon then realized that he should probably get out of that room.
he quickly used his sneaker to push all of the glass shards of the broken tank into the darkness under the bottom shelves. the spider was long gone, and hopefully, nobody would notice it missing.
