We all had dressed up and were ready to leave the house for the venue hall. We all gathered in the yard.

I wore baggy blue jeans, with a white crop bandana top and a black leader jacket and my converse hike sneakers.

Everyone looked really good as well, Ricky wore blue baggy jeans too, the men's type, white turtle neck pullover and normal sneakers, he's so cute

Fun fact, this is not his style at all, I forced him to wear it because it's a child party and he has to be comfortable.

We got into the different cars and drove to the hall.

So far, everything is going good as planned, the kids are just playing around and the adults are discussing and drinking.

Food has been served and the cake has been shared.

I'm just staring at Javon. This little boy amazes me so much. He felt so scared being around so many people and kids, but Bella and Steph helped him and now he's playing like he was never scared,

"You look proud" someone said from beside me, I looked and it was Ricky, I smiled,

"I sure am babe, doesn't he look so cute and lovely" I said and Ricky nodded, "you seem to really love him babe" he said

I nodded, "I know it's too early, but I do love him babe, like my own" I said.

Ricky turned me and now I was facing him, "why do I feel like you've got me under control?" He said and I tilted my head in confusion, "huh?" I mumbled,

"Your actions, your words, your everything, it's like I want you in my life forever, it's like we should start making our own family right now, you just make me fall more for you Miss Daniels, come on this isn't fair" he said smiling and I smiled too, so wide, I smiled,

"What's stopping you from doing all this? Who is stopping you Mr Lee?" I asked him and he chuckled,

"I love you babe, never forget that" I said, "you know I won't, you are my ride or die and I love you more" he said and we gave each other a quick kiss before someone made a fake coughing sound behind us,

We both turned just to see my dad.

"Hi pops" I said giving my dad a hug, "hi princess, I missed you" dad said hugging me tight,

"Missed you too dad" I said smiling and we both pulled away from the hug, "you are growing too fast Elyssa you need to slow down" dad said,

"Dad come on now, I'm 21 almost 22" I said laughing, "I know that I know" dad said nodding and we both laughed,

He then narrowed his eyes to Derrick, "good evening sir" Derrick quickly said,

"Good evening young man, I believe you are Derrick" dad said, "yes sir I am," Ricky replied,

I could not help but giggle at his formality towards dad, I still can't believe he can act this way,

Dad just stared at him for a while. They kept on staring at each other until dad suddenly smiled and reached his hand out for a hand shake,

"Relax son, Sheila(Mum) already told me about you and I believe she approves of you, also the way my girl talks about you, has moved me, not to talk of Steve and Chelsea saying how respectful and responsible you are, you have my permission even if you didn't ask yet, I just got one request, don't disappoint me son, once my trust in you falls, it's going to be hard to gain it back" dad finally finished,

This is literally a whole speech dad just said,

"I promise you sir, I won't disappoint you, and I don't want to be seen as a disappointment to Elyssa as well" Ricky replied and all I could do was smile,
