unexpected incident

Why do I feel like something is wrong somewhere?

We are in the car now on our way back to our apartments, The beach house was fun, I made both good and bad memories there, but lets not talk about that.

Derrick already called and checked on all his workers involved in the accident and they all are okay now.

I spoke with Steve as well and he is perfectly fine. Everything seems to be fine now, except the fact that we are already half our journey and no one has bothered saying anything, it is so quiet, like awfully quiet.

I guess its because he is worried about his workers. I sighed and turned my head to face the window, I felt him place his hand on my thigh but i didn't budge or turn to look at him.

"Babe" someone slowly tapped my thigh and whispered, I opened my eyes and found that the car was parked infront of my apartment

"Let me help you" Derrick said as he held my hand so I could get out of the car, "thanks" I said and he nodded

He then went to the trunk to get my bag, "you don't need to come inside, just go and rest, I will call you once I'm settled in" I said to him and he nodded

He then lowered his head gave me a last kiss before going back into his car, as soon as he drove away, I went into the house

The girls where lazily laying down in the living room, "girls, I'm gonna go rest, I've got work tomorrow" I said and they nodded in unison then I went into my room

I unpacked, then went into the bathroom to freshen up for a bit then later wore my pajamas and laid on the bed just staring at my phone

Since Derrick and the boys knew about Mariam passing away, something has completely changed in them, especially Derrick, I just can't figure it out, but if its important I hope he tells me soon, or I'll have to find out myself

I didnt even know the time I fell asleep, my head hurts so bad

I got out of bed and proceeded to the bathroom to wash up and prepare for work

When I was finally done wearing my uniform, I brushed my hair and put it in a low puffy bun then picked up my car keys from the night stand as well as my phone and went to the kitchen

The girls aren't home either, I guess they went to clear shit at work as well

I made a quick sandwich and took a juice box from the fridge and went outside

I got into my car, and after doing the needy, I reversed out of the parking lot and drove to work.

School begins next week again, this two weeks break was really needed, but now I gotta prioritize my education

I finally arrived at work and parked on my normal position and walked into the boutique

Rachael was there as usual, looking all pretty and bubbly, she has so much positive vibes,

"Hey Rachael" I greeted her and she turned to me, "hello you, girl a lot happened when you where gone" she quickly said and I laughed

"Tell me everything" I said and she quickly pulled me to sit down and she started filling me on everything that I missed out,

"So where is he now?" I asked her, after telling me the bosses son ran away from home cause his cards got blocked, and now the police have been around the boutique incase he comes back

"No one knows yet, but just be on the watch you might see him" She said, I smiled, "okay I will, can we get to work now?" I asked laughing and she nodded then we went back to our respective counters
