It was about 5pm when Akshara and Krishika found themselves sitting together at the library, studying. Akshara tried to focus on the reading in front of her while Krishika glanced around the room, for any sign of Siddharth or Abhimanyu.

"Sid isn't coming?" She asked Akshara.

"I don't know." Akshara sighed, trying to focus.

"Did you talk to him?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"And say what? 'Oh, I'm sorry you got kicked out of your seat. I didn't mean for it to happen?'"

"I mean, yah, if that's how you feel?"

Akshara rolled her eyes. "Can you please stop asking questions and study? That's what we are here to do." She glared at Krishika, quieting her down before digging her nose deep into the textbook in front of her.

"You should have talked to him. Texted him at least. By how does it feel? Having two super hot guys fighting over you?"

Akshara's heart pounded at Krishika's question before she brushed it off. "Please. No one is fighting over me."

"Oh please, Akshara. Anyone with two working eyes could see the tension in the room when Abhimanyu told Sid to move. Abhimanyu was calling dibs on you. It's at the point where no guy would even look at you or be six feet close to you because they're afraid of being put six feet under."

Akshara's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Abhimanyu. "No, he wasn't. He has a girlfriend."

"You are in denial, my dear girl. The way the man was looking at Siddharth as if he wanted to murder him, he definitely feels something for you, alright?"

"He's a family friend. Just overly protective of me. That's all." Akshara replied, trying hard to convince herself that Abhimanyu's attitude towards Siddharth was purely reflecting his concern for her.

"Okay, whatever helps you sleep at night in a bliss of ignorance." Krishika raised her eyebrows at Akshara, not believing a single word which was being uttered out of her best friend's mouth.

A few moments of silence passed before Krishika spoke again. "By the way, what was Abhimanyu doing in our Psychology class anyway? Isn't he in fourth year?"

Akshara looked up from her textbook, frowning at Krishika's very valid question. What had Abhimanyu been doing in their Psychology class? "Umm, actually, I'm wondering the exact same thing."

"Bhai needs a Psychology credit to earn his MBBS degree. The course was optional before but now it's mandatory, hence why he's in your Psychology class." Neil interrupted them, coming and taking a seat right beside Akshara, scaring the living daylights out of the two girls.

"Neil!" Akshara exclaimed, clutching her chest.

"Hi." Krishika greeted Neil, nervously, trying to avoid eye contact with him.

"Hey." Neil gave Krishika a flirtatious smile, making her cheeks flush. He then turned around to face Akshara. "Do you enjoy playing with fire, little Daredevil?"

Akshara frowned. "I don't know what you mean."

"I mean do you have any special superpowers? Every time I see bhai, he's pissed about something or the other and automatically I know it has something to do with you. What did you do this time?"

"What do you mean me? I did nothing! Ask your brother this question!" Akshara defended herself.

"I did. He won't answer."

"Then why do you think I'll answer?"

"You two are very similar you know? Equally frustrating." Neil glared at her, making Krishika giggle.
