"Abhi?" Akshara outstretched her hands on the bed, seeking Abhimanyu's warmth only to come up empty handed.

"Morning, baby. Sleep. You still have 2 hours before you have to wake up." Abhimanyu brushed his kis against her hair, kissing it softly.

"Where are you going?" She asked, drowsily. She Ow owns her eyes —her vision foggy, searching for Abhimanyu's face.

"Home. I have to go for the gym hut my gym bag is at home and I have to grab my textbooks and backpack too. You sleep, I'll be here at 9 to pick you up, okay?"

"Don't go." Akshara mumbled, pouting.

"I wish I didn't. But I have to." He brushed his lips against hers before getting up from the bed. "Bye love."

Akshara turned and laid flat on her back, staring at the ceiling just as she heard the room door close. She sighed, knowing full well she was going to lay awake in her bed till 8am. She had gotten used to sleeping with Abhimanyu that sleeping without him now, seemed no less than torture.

Akshara sighed again, louder this time, staring at the ceiling, counting down the minutes till it would be 8am and she could start getting ready for college.

"You sure you'll be okay?" Kairav asked Akshara as he sat in his car. "You can come with me if you'd like."

"No, I'm okay. Abhimanyu will be here soon." She waved her brother off with a smile and went back to waiting for her boyfriend to pull up.

It had been a few moments since Kairav's car had driven out of the apartment complex parking lot when Abbimanyu's pulled in and came to a stop right in front of her.

Abhimanyu stepped out of the car and tossed the car keys at her, which she caught —barely —after fumbling a few times.

"Abhi?" She looked at him shocked, her eyes narrowing down on the keys and then at him.

"You were feeling pretty confident yesterday. Let's see how you do now." He grinned, getting out of the car and walking up to her.

Akshara's face paled and she shook her head. "Abhi, you know I can't drive." She pleaded.

"Yes, but I also remember how you wanted to learn how to drive. Be independent. Remember?"

"Yes! But I just...I just said that because I was mad at you!" Her cheeks flamed at her confession. "I like being your passenger." Yep, she wanted to dig a hole and bury herself in there. Somewhere where no one would know. No one would find her.

"But regardless, driving is a skill you should know. As much as I love having you as my passenger princess, there are times when I would want to be a passenger Prince."

Akshara sighed. Damnit! Why did he have to be so cute? "Fine! But if I mess up —

"I'll tell them I don't know who you are and that I was being kidnapped." He grinned.

"Abhi!" She huffed, smacking him playfully against the chest.

"Just joking! I know you won't mess up! Now let's go! Or else we'll be late!"

"Seatbelt?" Abhimanyu turned to look at Akshara whose eyes were widened, looking out of sorts as her entire attention stayed focused on the steering wheel.

Abhimanyu smiled to himself as he leaned over Akshara and pulled the seatbelt over her, getting a whiff of her vanilla rose flavoured fragrance mist —her usual as he buckled her in. Vanilla rose —the scent he attributed to her —the scent which he'd recognize anywhere.
